Lisa won’t be attending tonight’s acting awards. The Blackpink star has just released the group’s new mini-album Deadline and is also filming for Tigo. Lisa, along with the cast of Season 3 of The White Lotus, are nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Production on Lisa’s new movie Tigo has begun in South Korea, but the actress was understandably unable to attend the 2026 Best Actor Awards (formerly known as the SAG Awards) with her White Lotus co-stars. ELLE has learned that the Blackpink singer will not be attending the Los Angeles ceremony tonight.
The Season 3 cast of the hit HBO series has been nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Lisa attended the Golden Globes with them and spoke in an interview with E! About not being able to attend the Grammy Awards. “I can’t go there because I’m filming a movie,” she said.
Movies aren’t the only thing Lisa will be focusing on this week. Her band Blackpink just released their comeback mini-album “Deadline” on Friday.
However, Lisa aspires to continue acting while continuing her music career.
In September, Lisa spoke to AnOther about The White Lotus and also touched on her acting ambitions. “It was so much fun working on it,” she said. “I want to do more acting. It’s a world I want to know more about.”
“It started with me sending in an audition tape, which was fun. We were filming in a hotel room, just me and the team. Then I flew to Thailand to meet Mike White and we had a great first conversation. Mike is really open-minded. He was very open to trying different things. He let my co-star Tammy (Tup Tim Tone) and I do whatever we wanted. If he wanted us to fix something, he just showed us how to do it. They were all great stars. It was a great experience working together. ”
