Sources tell TMZ that Shia LaBeouf’s breakup with Mia Goth was not his fault, and that he tried “everything” to save their marriage before it fell apart in 2025.
A source told the outlet on Saturday that the “Frankenstein” star and the “Transformers” actor’s marriage “didn’t work out.”
The outlet also reported that LaBeouf, 39, is “very concerned” about his daughter Isabel, whom he welcomed in March 2022. She also shared that while Goss, 32, was busy with work, LaBeouf was seeing his daughter and “being there” for her.
A source close to LaBeouf also told the outlet that he had tried “everything” to repair his marriage, including incorporating religion into his life and taking time off.
Another friend told the outlet that she had previously embraced religion after the infamous FKA Twigs disbanded in 2019.
Meanwhile, Goth’s sources denied to TMZ that her career contributed to the end of their romance.
And a Goth source claimed that while the “Pearl” star “cares” about her ex-partner, she no longer wants to be married to him. Insiders close to Goss told the newspaper that LaBeouf’s drinking contributed to the union’s collapse.
According to the outlet, Goss did not feel that LaBeouf could “become a better person or work on his issues.”
Sources claimed that “even Stevens” alumnus enjoyed working for Goss, who brought in money, and that although the actor made “small efforts” to improve, he ultimately took “10 steps back” for every step forward.
Goss also said she hopes her estranged spouse goes to rehab to sort things out following his dramatic Mardi Gras brawl arrest in early February.
Representatives for Mr. Goss and Mr. LaBeouf did not immediately respond to Page Six requests for comment on Saturday.
The pair, who met in 2012 on the set of Nymphomaniac: Vol. II and married in 2016, separated about a year ago and LaBeouf moved to New Orleans to be closer to family, Page Six previously revealed.
Prior to that, the pair had endured an on-again, off-again relationship, with TMZ reporting that Los Angeles police were called to their home multiple times before they broke up.
In 2022, LaBeouf lavished praise on Goth, whom they reconciled in 2021 after two years of estrangement.
“She saved my shitty life,” the actor said during an appearance on the podcast “Real Ones with Jon Bernthal” in September 2022.
“She stuck by me when I didn’t deserve anyone in my life, especially here. She gave me hope when I was really fuming.”
He added at the time that he was going to “show up for my wife and be stable for her.”
