Taskovsky Films has participated as the sales agent for “We Have to Survive,” which will have its world premiere at Thessaloniki International Airport. The documentary festival will be held from March 5th to 15th.
Written and directed by Tomáš Krupa, the film tells a series of character-driven stories that reveal the challenges of a changing world and the quiet strength of the people who live within them.
The film travels from America’s fragile Outer Banks, where the sea slowly reclaims the land, to the vast Mongolian desert where families plant trees against the wind, to the underground city of Coober Pedy in Australia, where people forge a life beneath the burning earth, to the icy shores of Greenland, where an ancient fishing tradition takes off anew.
“We Have to Survive confronts us with the lives that have already been reshaped by climate change,” said Irena Taskovsky, Head of Acquisitions at Taskovsky Films. These stories remind us that climate change is not something far away, but something lived, shared, and deeply human. At a time when the future feels uncertain, Tomáš Krupa’s films offer something essential: a feeling. It’s about connection, responsibility, and a reminder that we’re all under the same sky. ”
The film was produced by Krupa for Hailstone. Co-producers are Christian Popp (Yuzu Productions), Peter Dressler (Golden Girls Film), and Arash T. Riahi (Golden Girls Film). Cinematography by Martin Čech and Ondře Šolos.

His profile received international recognition when he was selected for the Emerging Producers 2020 program presented at Jihlava International Airport. Documentary festival.
