Felicia Pride’s Honey Chili Entertainment acquires film and television rights to ‘Green Sisters’ trilogy

Award-winning filmmaker and television writer Felicia Pride (“Bel-Air,” Netflix’s “Another World” sequel) will develop Christina Forrest’s romance novel trilogy (“Neighbor’s Favor,” “Partner Plot,” “Love Lyrics”) through her independent media and production company Honey Chili Entertainment.

“I have been a fan of Felicia Pride’s work for years, and we share the same mission of creating life-affirming art featuring Black women,” Forrest said in a statement. “We are thrilled that Honey Chili has chosen the Green Sisters series and are excited about everything that lies ahead.”

The Green Sisters series centers on three successful sisters who navigate careers, family, and modern love. “While each novel functions independently, the trilogy collectively constructs a coherent portrait of contemporary black sisterhood and romance,” the press release explains.

Pride wrote and produced the first film and will serve as a producer on the remaining two films.

“At Honey Chili, we have always centered our audience and the power of Black storytelling,” Pride added. “Christina is a very clever writer whose work completely immerses the viewer in her world. Her Green Sisters trilogy depicts romance, ambition and partnership in an ambitious and deeply relatable way.”

The acquisition marks a significant expansion of Honey Chili’s premium film and television programming and underscores the company’s mission to develop and produce stories by, for, and about Black women over the age of 40.

“As we enter our fifth year in business, our commitment to telling the multi-layered, culturally-resonant stories that come out of living rooms, hair salons and girls’ trips is stronger than ever,” Price added. “We are excited about the next chapter.”

Pride is represented by Industry Entertainment, Diane Fraser of UTA and attorney Marcy Cleary of Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz.

Taurus World Stunt Academy presented the 25th annual Taurus World Stunt Awards honors Saturday in a live ceremony at the Wilshire Ebell Theater, honoring the film industry’s top stunt professionals and action filmmaking achievements.

This year’s awards nominated films representing The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros., Amazon MGM Studios, Lionsgate, Paramount, Apple TV+, and Netflix, and recognized stunt work from major studios and streaming originals. Titles at issue include “Thunderbolts,” “Superman,” “Working Man,” “Shadow Force,” “The Naked Gun,” “The Gorge” and “Havok.”

The ceremony kicked off with a headline-making moment when nominee and Red Bull athlete John DeVore parachuted from a helicopter to deliver the Taurus Award statuette to the red carpet, officially kicking off the show.

In addition to eight competition categories, including Hardest Hit, Best Fight, Best Work Wickle, Best Specialty Stunt and Best Stunt Coordination/Second Unit Direction, the Academy introduced the first-ever ICON Award, which will be presented to Arnold Schwarzenegger. The first honor recognizes Schwarzenegger’s lasting impact on modern action heroes and his influence on generations of stunt performers. His appearance on stage was greeted with a standing ovation from the stunt community.

2026 Taurus World Stunt Award Winners

Best Fight: “Forbidden City” (Yunlong Bang, Yassi Liu, Anthony Fo, Titshadi Vorabong, Haochi Yan) Best High Work: “Jurassic World: Rebirth” (Eduardo Gago Muñoz) Best Stunt Rigging: “Final Destination: Bloodline” (Dustin Brooks, Darl Hicks, Brent Lister, Dillion Mabury, Jason Reynolds) Vehicle Work: “Back in Action” (Amanda Bradley, Jeff Groff, Kevin Waterman) Best Specialty Stunt: “Ballerina” (Selej Andrus, Jason Dumenigo, Robert Kovalik, Ivan Orsanyi, Gyula Toth) Best overall stunt by a stuntwoman: “Eeny Meany” (Crystal Fuchs) Most successful film: “The Accountant 2” (Paul Whitecotton) Best Stunt Coordination and/or Second Unit Director: “Back in Action” (JJ Perry, Troy Robinson, Travis Wong) Lifetime Achievement Award: Debbie Evans

Winners are selected exclusively by the Academy’s approximately 3,000 members, making the Taurus Awards the only film awards voted solely by current and retired stunt professionals. This event remains the industry’s only awards show solely dedicated to stunt performers and second unit artists.

The Taurus World Stunt Award supports the Taurus World Stunt Award Foundation, an endowment inspired by the late Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz, which provides financial support to stunt performers who suffer from debilitating stunt-related injuries.

The Taurus World Stunt Awards first aired on U.S. television in 2001 and continues to spotlight the behind-the-scenes athletes who define action movies.
