Robert Cosby Jr., the son of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Mary Cosby, was unconscious when police responded to a 911 call before his death.
“23-year-old male, unconscious and not breathing. One dose of Narcan administered,” the dispatcher said, according to audio obtained exclusively by Page Six.
“Police have been called. Three units are on their way,” the dispatcher added.
A Salt Lake City Police Department spokesperson told Page Six that Robert was found dead on Monday after officers “responded to an overdose call resulting in a death investigation.”
Authorities confirmed they responded to the call at 6:14 p.m.
Mary and her husband, Robert Sr., released a joint statement on Monday, writing:
“Our hearts are broken, but we take comfort in God’s promises and knowing that He is finally at peace. We appreciate your prayers and your trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sadness.”
Representatives for Mary did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
TMZ was the first to report the death.
Bravo executive Andy Cohen mourned the loss in a statement on an Instagram thread Wednesday.
“Devastatingly sad news from SLC,” he wrote. “This is every parent’s worst nightmare. Our hearts are broken for Mary. We send all our love to her and Robert Sr.”
Robert’s death came four months after his estranged wife, Alexiana Smokov, filed for divorce after three years of marriage.
The former couple reportedly married in a Utah courthouse in August 2022, and their secret marriage unfolded in front of the cameras on Season 4 of RHOSLC.
Robert and Smokov’s alleged drug use also became a storyline for Season 6, which was filmed in early 2025.
In an emotional moment, Robert told his mother that his recovery was “at a standstill” after completing a 30-day rehabilitation period.
“I’m not in that dark place, but I feel like I’m still there, if that makes sense,” he said, explaining that he struggles without ritual.
Robert was arrested in November for allegedly violating a restraining order set out by Smokov’s family, and his relapse occurred later that season.
“[Her family]filed a restraining order against him, but he came back anyway. She wanted him to come back and save her,” Mary revealed in the episode. “I don’t know where he’s thinking that… It’s delusional.”
The 53-year-old Bravolebrity admitted she visited her son in prison and refused to speak to him from behind glass. But she said she was sending him books to read.
Roberts pled guilty and was released two months later on February 3rd.
His lawyer told People that Robert “expressed deep regret for his past actions and acknowledged that his past actions demonstrated a lack of judgment.”
