Lizzie McGuire actor Robert Carradine, who passed away in February 2026 at the age of 71, came from a famous acting family.

The Carradine family is one of the most famous families in Hollywood history.

Robert’s late father John Carradine, late half-brother David Carradine, and younger brother Keith Carradine are all famous actors.

So are Robert’s daughter Ever Carradine and niece Martha Plimpton.

Keith, 76, confirmed Robert died by suicide after battling bipolar disorder.

“In a world that can feel so dark, Bobby was always a beacon of light for those around him. We are saddened by the loss of this beautiful soul and would like to honor Bobby’s courageous fight against bipolar disorder for nearly 20 years,” Robert’s family told Deadline in a statement.

In an interview with Media Mikes in October 2025, Robert revealed that his father did not force him to become an actor.

“I remember him telling me that if I was interested in pursuing acting, I needed to get a literary education,” the “Revenge of the Nerds” actor said at the time.

Beverly was married twice, first to Laura Green Reed and then to Modesta A.M. Burke.

He had nine children, including William Reed Carradine, father of John, grandfather of Robert, David and Keith.

Beverly died on April 22, 1931. He passed away at the age of 83.

Robert said he “loved[her]” and was always rooting for her because they “basically grew up together” due to their 20-year age difference.

“My father was not a fighter, he was a lover. He was truly genuine. In a world full of conflict and division, I think today we can take a page from his book and open our hearts, feel love, and share,” she added.
