Channing Tatum appeared to be sporting a new, refreshed look at the premiere of Josephine in Berlin.
The “Magic Mike” actor was photographed wearing a head-to-toe black ensemble, layered with a pinstripe suit over a T-shirt and shiny leather shoes, at an event held during the Berlinale Film Festival on Friday.
But it was Tatum’s sleek, youthful appearance — his clean shaven head and freshly shaven face — that had people talking on social media.
“Excuse me??” one person wrote in the comments section of a clip from the event, which showed Tatum, 45, chatting on the red carpet and looking as hot as ever.
Another X fan said Tatum “looked good” in the classic suit, while another gushed that Channing and co-star Gemma Chan “looked like royalty” as they posed together at the event.
However, a fourth person didn’t like the combination of shaved head and baby face and suggested Tatum “grow his hair long.”
“Did he do anything to his face?” another critic asked. “He used to be very handsome.”
Tatum’s appearance at the film festival comes just weeks after undergoing shoulder separation surgery, and the “Roofman” actor has been sharing updates on social media from his hospital bed.
On February 4, he posted a photo of himself in a hospital gown and wrote, “Another day. Another challenge.” “This will be hard. But whatever, let’s try.”
The father-of-one, who shares 12-year-old daughter Everly with ex-wife Jenna Dewan, has had a busy year.
In addition to the acclaimed drama “Josephine,” which is currently hot at film festivals, Page Six has learned that the actor will perform a live stage version of “Magic Mike” in Times Square in October.
Sources revealed in January that Channing, who previously had a cameo appearance in the London version, may appear personally in a “very limited appearance.”
This is just the latest development in his long and storied career. The “Step Up” star has won and been nominated for numerous awards over the years from the Sundance Film Festival, Critics’ Choice Film Awards, and MTV Movie & TV Awards.
