Selena Gomez took to Instagram yesterday to share a carousel full of random photos from various points in time that made her want to reminisce. She secretly took a photo of herself with her husband Benny Blanco, which drew the attention of music producers. He left a two-word comment on his wife’s post, expressing his admiration for her. “My angel,” he wrote.
Their social media interactions are a public display of the newlyweds’ dynamic. Neither was shy about how deeply they loved the other. Last January, Blanco said in an interview that words were not enough to express his feelings for Gomez.
“Before I was with her, I remember thinking, ‘You know what? I’m going to quit everything I’m doing and focus all my energy on growing up and being with the right person,'” he recalled. “Right now, I worship the ground she walks on, and I feel like she’s the same as me. There’s no ego between us. She prays for me to win, and I pray for her to win. And I wake up in the morning and I know she’s doing the same. And I think, ‘How can I make her life better?'” Hugging her isn’t enough. I want to be inside her whole body. I just have feelings for her that I can’t even explain. ”
Blanco recently attracted attention for the grand gesture he made on the couple’s first Valentine’s Day. He put together a romantic backyard dinner complete with roses, hot dogs, and a plate that read “Love is Love.”
Gomez opened up about her married life in November, telling Zane Lowe, “It’s been such a dream so far and I know it’s going to have its ups and downs, but[Blanco]is the most beautiful person with whom I could make it happen.”
