Brooklyn Beckham has unfollowed Gordon Ramsay on social media after the “Hell’s Kitchen” star made candid comments about the Beckham family feud, Page Six has confirmed.
Ramsay still follows the aspiring chef on Instagram. The Daily Mail first reported that Brooklyn unfollowed the famous British TV chef after he criticized David and Victoria’s eldest son for being “obsessed” with his wife Nicola Peltz.
Representatives for Brooklyn and Ramsey did not immediately respond to Page Six requests for comment on Saturday.
“It’s hard when you’re infatuated, isn’t it? Love is blind. That’s why they say it,” Ramsay said in an interview with The Sun published Friday.
Ramsey called the ongoing family feud a “difficult situation” and speculated that Brooklyn, 26, is “desperate to stand on her own two feet.”
“That’s very good,” he told the outlet. “But remember where you came from. And let’s be honest, one day you’re going to have no mom and dad. You need to understand that.”
Ramsey also defended Brooklyn’s parents, telling the outlet that “Victoria is upset and rightly upset” amid a feud in which Brooklyn claimed her mother “danced inappropriately” with her at her 2022 wedding to Peltz in Palm Beach.
The “MasterChef” star, who is a longtime family friend and attended the wedding, added, “I know 24/7 how much David loves Brooklyn.”
Prior to her bombshell statement that she “didn’t want to reconcile” with the former Spice Girl and soccer star, the former Spice Girl and soccer star unfollowed many of her family members on social media in December.
But Ramsay insisted he still has a good relationship with his best friend’s son. “Brooklyn and I have exchanged a few messages and our relationship is strong,” he told The Sun. “I love him – his heart is great.”
“I want Brooklyn to think about herself a little bit. And remember, you’re half mom and half dad. And you’re a great young man,” he said in part.
“But, hey, they’ve done more for you than anyone else has ever done in your life.”
A source told the Daily Mail on Saturday that Brooklyn and Nicola, 31, “obviously don’t want any criticism at all.”
“They just don’t want to hear negative opinions about themselves,” a friend of the Ramsays and the Beckhams told the news outlet. “I’m sure they don’t like it being talked about unless it’s gushing. They probably don’t like the truth.”
Brooklyn addressed the ongoing rift with her family on her Instagram Stories in January. In a six-page screed, the photographer wrote, “I don’t want to reconcile with my family. I’m not controlled. I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
He also accused his parents of controlling “reporting about our family,” having an “inauthentic relationship,” and “endlessly trying to destroy[his]relationship” with Peltz.
