Talk about fulfillment.
Blake Lively had her driver pick up an expensive mahjong set and bring it to court on Wednesday, Page Six has heard.
We hear the “Gossip Girl” star showed up around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday for a one-day mediation in her lawsuit against former co-star Justin Baldoni, with proceedings starting at 10 a.m.
By 11 a.m., Ms. Lively, who had probably waited a bit while the judge went back and forth between her team and Baldoni’s team, had grown tired of the slowly spinning wheels of justice and asked for a change of direction, we heard.
Her driver reportedly showed up at the door of the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Courthouse with a centuries-old Chinese tile game in hand.
Lively previously talked about her mahjong habit.
“I teach my friends how to play mahjong, but I have to tell you that I’m not a certified teacher,” she told Vogue in December.
“But I know enough to teach my friends how to play, and they love to practice, so I always end up gifting them my own set,” she added.
Apparently she prefers the Oh My Mahjong set, which costs $500. (A basic set costs about $25; Brunello Cucinelli’s super high-end set sells for $15,500.)
The two are in court seeking a pretrial settlement in Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni. The actor strongly denied any wrongdoing.
She also accused him of trying to use “social manipulation” to “destroy” her reputation.
They were scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
