“Real Housewives of New York City” alum Jill Zarin has been fired from the original cast of the new E! She appeared on the series after she went on a rant about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.
Zarin was originally scheduled to appear on E!’s “The Golden Life,” but the show’s producers, Blink 49 Studios, announced in a statement Tuesday that they had ended their relationship with her.
“In light of recent public comments by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in ‘The Golden Life.’ We remain committed to delivering the series in alignment with the company’s standards and values,” producers said in a statement to Variety.

Zarin has since deleted a video on Instagram in which he called Bad Bunny’s performance “the worst halftime show ever.”
“What we’re celebrating right now is the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, and I don’t think it’s appropriate to say that in Spanish and, frankly, to grab his ‘G’ territory,” she said. “I think it was totally inappropriate.”
“There’s a lot of young kids watching the Super Bowl and he’s so anxious that he doesn’t have to grab himself every five seconds. Seriously.”
Zarin, 62, continued: “It seemed like a political statement because there were literally no white people in the whole thing. I think it was a political statement. I’m not going to take sides. I’m just going to do it. I think it was an ICE thing.”
The reality star also shaded Lady Gaga, who made a surprise appearance at the halftime show.
“And Lady Gaga had plastic surgery. I didn’t recognize her!” she said. “I literally had to Google her face to see who it was. We all couldn’t agree on who it was.”
“It was kind of fun in the middle of halftime. At least it gave me something to do because it was so hard to watch.”
Many brave celebrities have fired back at Zarin’s performance of Bad Bunny, including Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bozoma St. John, who wrote, “‘I’m not taking sides’ but very clearly taking sides. Please. On the other hand, I love Benito Bowl… its beauty, its culture, its history and its message.”
And Zarin wasn’t the only RHONY alum to come under fire for her comments on Bad Bunny’s halftime show.
In a Tiktok post that has since been deleted, Bethenny Frankel questioned, “Should entertainment venues like the Grammys, Emmys, Oscars, and Super Bowl be platforms for expressing personal, cultural, and political views?”
“Sure, there are big events happening globally, whether it’s the coronavirus or the tragedy of 9/11, and it’s inevitable that it will be discussed, but where are the lines?” she continued.
She later deleted the video and shared another clip in which she praised Bad Bunny for exercising his right to “express himself.”
