What you need to know
Derrick Henry has officially become the father of a girl for the third time.
On Wednesday, February 4, the 32-year-old running back for the Baltimore Ravens spoke to PEOPLE on Media Row and announced that he has welcomed his third child, a baby girl, with girlfriend Adrianna Rivas.
“I just had a baby girl,” he exclaims, talking about his busy offseason. “So I had my third girl. Three girls in a row. I’m a girl daddy.”
Harney then goes on to shout out to other fathers who love having daughters. For him, that includes Kobe Bryant, who helped coin the term “girl dad” through his love for his daughters (Giana, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri).

“I’m a huge Kobe Bryant fan, so I think the same way as the girls,” he says.
The NFL star previously welcomed daughters Valentina, 5, and Celine, 1, with Rivas, whom he has been dating since 2016, but Henry has not yet revealed the name of his new addition.
Regarding his young daughters, he said he doesn’t get enough time with them and “loves to watch them grow.”
“My 5-year-old daughter plays basketball and soccer right now, so I just watch her and see her competitive spirit grow. And my 1-year-old daughter, who’s going to be 2 in April, can’t wait to watch her big sister’s back and play sports,” he says.
She also explained that her older daughters are not satisfied with being a big sister and “we can’t take them away from her.”
Henry describes fatherhood as a “blessing” but admits it can also be a “pain”. However, he says he has no regrets, saying, “I’m grateful to have given birth to three children and to be the best father I can be. This is the best title in life.”
When I asked if Henry and his daughters had spent time with their teammates and their kids, he recalled a group of NFL parents going trick-or-treating together on Halloween.

“Then some of our kids play during the offseason,” he added, adding that he and his teammates “go downstairs and talk and have a good time. But it’s always fun when your teammates and your teammates’ kids get to know each other and build that relationship. It’s special.”
Another special thing for Henry this year was partnering with Oikos to shoot his first Super Bowl commercial with Kathryn Hahn.
He described Hahn as someone who is as interesting to watch in real life as she is on screen, saying, “It was great to meet her and get to know her.”
“I think everyone will enjoy it and find it funny,” he says of the clip, which is scheduled to air during Super Bowl LX on Sunday, Feb. 8.
He promotes his brand with protein-rich products that “give me energy on and off the field,” he says.
