Ashley Tisdale and Hayley Duff’s friendship is still going strong amid ‘toxic’ mom group drama.
On Wednesday, the two were spotted leaving an Italian restaurant together with their families in Malibu, California.
They both dressed casually for the dinner date with their kids. Tisdale was wearing jeans, a loose-fitting jacket, loafers, and had her hair tied up in a bun. Duff also wore jeans and wore her long hair down in waves.
This is the second time the actress and food blogger, both 40, have spent time together since Tisdale’s essay about leaving a “toxic” mom group published in The Cut went viral earlier this month.
Fans quickly speculated that Tisdale’s ex-mom group (which Tisdale accused of excluding her with “mean girl” behavior) included Hailey’s sister Hilary Duff, as well as Mandy Moore and Meghan Trainor.
While Hilary has yet to comment on the drama, her husband Matthew Koma publicly fired back at Tisdale via his Instagram Stories.
The music producer posted a faux cover of himself on the cover of “The Cut,” with the headline, “Mom Group Tells Everything Through Dad’s Eyes: When you’re the most self-centered tone-deaf person on the planet, other moms tend to shift their focus to their actual toddlers.”
Meanwhile, Hayley appears to be estranged from her sister and supports Tisdale.
The “Napoleon Dynamite” star “liked” Kat’s Instagram post promoting Tisdale’s essay after it was published on New Year’s Day.
Hilary revealed details of her split from Hailey last week while performing her new song ‘We Don’t Talk’ at her show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
The lyrics include, “We come from the same home, the same blood.”
She also stated that she would like to “go back to how I was when I was a child.”
“Let’s talk about it/I listen to you, you hear me on the couch…Let’s break it down/I’m so tired of being so sad/That we don’t talk about it and you don’t talk about it,” the lyrics read.
The Lizzie McGuire alum, 38, appears to want to reconcile with Hailey.
“I don’t even know what that was about,” the lyrics continue. “If I did something different/Would you feel different?/Would you at least let me know your opinion?”
