Milo Ventimiglia and his wife Jara Mariano are expecting their second child.
On Saturday, Mariano posted a photo on Instagram of himself lifting his daughter Keala Coral into the air while celebrating her first birthday.
Mariano, 42, wore a string bikini and sun hat in the snap, showing off her growing baby bump as she crumpled her toddler.
She covered Keala’s face with heart emojis as she stood in the water in a tropical location.
“Congratulations to my 1 year old baby girl,” she wrote. “When you appeared in my life, I had two different thoughts. One was that I would soon die for you, but now I too have to live as long as possible to make sure you are safe.”
She added, “This is the most unique love I’ve ever experienced. You’re as unique as the soul you carry. In a world full of fear and hate, I know you shine a shining light wherever you go, making it a better and brighter place for those around you. Keala Coral, I love you forever x mama.”
Fans were thrilled with the news in the comments thread, with one writing: “Wow congratulations!!! How beautiful and special!” Another added: “She’s going to be an amazing big sister ❤️.”
The “This is Us” star’s announcement comes a year after the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue model announced the birth of her first child in an emotional social media post, shortly after losing her home in Los Angeles’ devastating Palisades fire.
“Welcome home, Keala Coral Ventimiglia🌈1.23.25,” the model wrote alongside a photo of her baby’s tiny feet.
She added, “My family and I evacuated from the Palisades Fire on January 7th. We lost our home and everything we owned, including the house we were moving into that was under construction. I am 38 weeks pregnant and evacuated from the Franklin Fire just a few weeks ago.”
“I take it as a gift to have virtually practiced for the inevitable,” Mariano wrote. “I am also forever grateful that I was able to evacuate the Palisades Fire during the day, when I felt more prepared and not, say, completely caught off guard in the middle of the night.”
In her lengthy post, she said her family was “together, happy, healthy, safe and that’s all that really matters.”
The 48-year-old former Gilmore Girls secretly married the model in September 2023, and a year later the couple announced they were expecting their first child.
“There’s a baby on it!” Mariano captioned two photos of her baby belly while sitting on a surfboard.
