What you need to know
Yana Duggar is now a mom!
The Counting On alum, 36, gave birth to her first child with husband Stephen Whisman, a boy named Archie Gerald Whisman, on December 30th.
They shared the exciting news in a joint Instagram post on Friday, January 23rd, with the caption: “We took some time to get used to our new rhythm before sharing this great news 🤍 Archie Gerald Whisman arrived on December 30th, 2025 and our hearts have completely changed.”
“We are soaking in these early days with love, wonder, and so much gratitude,” the post added.
These words were accompanied by three adorable photos of new parents holding their baby boy wrapped in a green blanket.
“Oh we love Archie so much already and can’t wait to meet him!! 😍,” sister Jinger Duggar wrote in the comments section.
The first-time mother revealed her pregnancy in August 2025, a year after the couple married in August 2024.
“We are so excited! We are adding a little joy to our family in January 2026,” the reality star and her spouse captioned their joint announcement on Instagram. “We are counting down the days and looking forward to starting this thrilling new chapter in our lives!”
The post included several photos from a maternity photo shoot, courtesy of Duggar’s sister-in-law, who thanked her, saying, “Thank you for the beautiful photos!”
The couple’s cover photo was a black and white photo of the two smiling and kissing tenderly. Two more color shots followed, showing Wisman standing outside and placing his hand on his wife’s growing baby bump.
Since the special announcement, Duggar has continued to document her pregnancy on social media.
“I’m halfway through my pregnancy and still in awe. It went by so fast! I’m loving feeling that little heartthrob these days!” the then-pregnant mom captioned an Instagram post in late September.
Her summary began with a smiling photo of herself in the mirror, holding her stomach while wearing a long-sleeved sweater and jeans. A similar shot was then taken of her posed from a different angle.

Most recently, Duggar shared a December update just a month before her due date.
“Expectation is running high in our house! We can’t wait to meet our little one!” she wrote, standing in front of the same mirror as in the aforementioned post, with a single blue heart emoji.
And the 19 Kids and Counting alum isn’t the only one from a large family, as Whisman is one of 13 children.

“I think it’s one of those things that every girl dreams of someday,” Duggar told PEOPLE two days before marrying Whisman in 2023.
“For me, it was like, ‘Okay, that’s never going to come.’ But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I think, ‘Wow, this is really what I’ve been dreaming about.’ And just to see that come to fruition is incredible and unbelievable. It’s a dream come true,” she added.
The couple got engaged on June 15, 2024, and exchanged traditional vows in front of 500 guests at The Grand in Willow Springs. Jessa Duggar Seewald served as the bride’s maid of honor in the newlyweds’ “classic and elegant” ceremony, with sister-in-law Abbey Duggar and sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johanna Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, and Jordyn Duggar serving as bridesmaids.
