Netflix has produced a feature-length documentary about Lucy Levy, the British neonatal nurse convicted of killing seven infants under her supervision, which will premiere on the streamer next month.
According to a press release, The Lucy Levy Investigation is scheduled for worldwide release on February 4 and promises to include “new material and testimony from the British police who investigated the case, as well as never-before-seen footage of Levy during her arrest and interrogation.”
The 90-minute documentary also includes an interview with the mother of one of the victims, marking the first time a family involved in the prosecution has spoken out outside of Levy’s trial. Experts and lawyers from both sides of the case will also participate.
The 36-year-old nurse was found guilty of murdering seven young children and the attempted murder of seven others between June 2015 and June 2016, making her Britain’s most prolific child murderer. In August 2023, she will be found guilty and sentenced to life in prison and will die in prison. In July 2024, the attempted murder charge, in which the jury could not reach a verdict, was retried and Levy was found guilty again. Her case shocked and divided Britain, with some expressing doubts about the medical and statistical evidence that led to her conviction.
“The Investigation of Lucie Levy” is produced by ITN Productions and directed by Dominique Sibia. Executive producers include Caroline Short and Ian Ramsay.
