A$AP Rocky has opened up about his relationship with Drake.
In a new interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden published on Wednesday, January 21, the radio personality, 50, and the “Punk Rocky” rapper, 37, spoke about the topic of fights between musicians and how the issue came about.
“Let me ask you something, I want to know what’s inside,” Darden told his guest, to which the guest responded, “Here you go.”
The former Hot 97.1 host asked if there were “really issues” between A$AP Rocky and the Canadian rapper, 39.

He also wanted to know if the situation was “like pro wrestling where everyone trolls us and pisses people off” to promote the project, after fans speculated that the song “Stole Ya Flow” from A$AP Rocky’s recently released album Don’t Be Damn was referring to Drake.
“I think hip-hop tactics and beef are like the WWF. It’s always been like wrestling, right? But this between us isn’t real smoke,” A$AP Rocky responded.
“But I have nothing to do with him,” he said.
The friendship between the “F—in’ Problem” collaborators has cooled in recent years, as both artists have had long-term relationships with Rihanna.
“We used to be friends,” A$AP Rocky told Darden, adding that he believed their rift was “over women.”
“I think he wasn’t happy and he expressed that,” A$AP Rocky explained. “And I think at some point you all get older and think it’s time to move on. It’s sweet of me that you’re still bullying women. I didn’t put out an album, I didn’t put out music to really say something back.”
The rapper, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, shares sons RZA, 3 1/2, and Riot, 2, with fellow Fenty Beauty mogul, 37, and daughter Rocky, who was born in September 2025.

She and Drake have been in an on-again, off-again relationship for nearly a decade, with Drake even confessing his love for her on MTV VMAS in 2016, and on LeBron James’ talk show The Shop in 2018, saying he wanted to have children with Rihanna.
“First you stole my flow, so you stole mine, bitch,” A$AP Rocky raps on “Stole Ya Flow,” before adding, “Now I’m a father, my bitch’s worse than a toddler, my baby mama Rihanna, so we didn’t care.”

Still, A$AP Rocky had this to say about his new music during a conversation with Darden:
“And I think it’s the little things… That’s enough money. That’s enough women. That’s enough fame and spotlight,” he added. “But is it real smoke? That can’t be true.”
