This year is all about literature, with movies and TV series based on best-selling books set to be released throughout 2026.

Just this month, in addition to Netflix’s adaptation of Emily Henley’s People on Vacation, Heat Rivalry, an adaptation of Rachel Reid’s romance series, was released on HBO Max. But romantic comedies aren’t the only IP ripe for animation. This year will also see the release of several Colleen Hoover films, including the much-anticipated sci-fi series Project Hail Mary, the intergalactic tale written by Andy Weir, Wuthering Heights, starring Emerald Fennell as Emily Bronte, and, of course, the psychological thriller Verity.

Below, check out a comprehensive list of all the books that will be made into movies this year.
