Max Parker will be appearing in a new role in Amazon Prime Video’s live-action TV series “God of War,” Variety reported.
Parker will appear alongside previously announced series star Ryan Hurst and fellow cast member Teresa Palmer. Parker will play Heimdall. As previously reported, the series will feature stories from the two most recent God of War games. In the game, Kratos must raise his 10-year-old son Atreus while battling Norse gods.
According to the logline, “Father and son Kratos (Hearst) and Atreus embark on a journey to scatter the ashes of his wife and mother Faye. Throughout their adventure, Kratos attempts to teach his son to be a better god, and Atreus attempts to teach his father how to be a better man.”
Heimdall’s official description states that he is “the keeper of Asgard and one of Odin’s sons. Heimdall is a god in his own right, with a special ability to predict what is about to happen at any time. Handsome and dynamic. However, he feels unappreciated by his father and undervalued by other members of his family, and as a result Heimdall constantly seeks ways to improve his position within the hierarchy and increase his stature and power.
Parker recently appeared in the Netflix military drama “Boots,” playing the role of Sgt. Liam Robert Sullivan. He is also known for his roles in dramas such as “Vampire Academy,” “Emmerdale,” and “Blood, Sex and Royalty.”
He is repped by Thrive Talent, TalentWorks, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Myman Greenspan.
