Harris Dickinson, fresh off his Cannes Film Festival-winning directorial debut Urchin, and currently filming Sam Mendes’ Beatles biopic Quartet, is expanding his credentials behind the camera.
Divisio Pictures, the production company founded by Dickinson and Archie Partch, has joined director Pascual Gutierrez’s upcoming comedy One of Us alongside Los Angeles-based audio-driven banner The Long Holiday.
Peach and Dickinson will produce Divisio’s Long Holiday alongside Laurel Thomson.
One of Us is Gutierrez’s second feature film, following his blockbuster debut Serious People, which premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim. The genre-bending metafiction comedy, starring Gutierrez and co-written and directed by Ben Marincosson, is the first full-length feature from Long Holiday, which was produced by Thompson and launched in 2024. The film was released by Memory and Tribeca Films.
Plot and cast details for One of Us are currently under wraps, but the film is said to be a “spiritual successor” to Serious People, an absurdist comedy loosely drawn from Gutierrez’s own life. In addition to directing, Gutierrez is set to appear on screen again and will be joined by his real-life partner Christine Yuan, toddler Echo Gutierrez, and additional cast members. Production is scheduled to begin filming this summer.
Gutierrez is an award-winning filmmaker and one half of the Mexican-American director duo Criqua alongside RJ Sanchez. This prolific music video partnership has seen him collaborate with artists such as Bad Bunny, Rosalía, J Balvin, Madonna, Travis Scott, and The Weeknd.
One of Us is the second feature from Devisio, following the success of Urchin, which was written and produced by Dickinson and produced by Peach. The film premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, winning the International Federation of Critics Award and the Best Actor Award for Frank Dillane. The film was nominated for six British Independent Film Awards, including Best Picture, a Gotham Award for Breakthrough Director, and multiple London Critics Circle Award nominations. It was longlisted at the BAFTAs as an outstanding debut film by a British writer or director in the producer category.
Domestic sales representatives for “One of Us” will be Christine D’Souza and Julia Nelson, who were in charge of sales and executive producers for “Serious People” with UTA.
