Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau attend an important event.
The “Part of Me” singer, 41, joined her boyfriend, 54, a former Canadian prime minister, on Tuesday, January 20, in Davos, Switzerland, for a speech on the importance of “soft power” at the World Economic Forum.
After Mr. Perry sat in the front row of the event and listened to Mr. Trudeau’s speech, the two smiled and clasped hands. “The 80 years of stability and prosperity the world has seen since the end of the horrors of World War II are over,” he said at the event, according to CBC.

“Those days are over,” Trudeau added, according to the newspaper. “We are now in a transition period where we are creating a new world in which we will live.”
He explained how some current world leaders are using forms of “hard power,” pointing out that today’s climate encourages the opposite, and that it is more productive for the world as a whole for nations to come together.
Elsewhere during his speech, Trudeau spoke candidly about his recent “date with an American woman at a rooftop bar in Montreal,” noting that “she ordered a Jack and Coke.”
“The server kindly informed me that there was no more American alcohol, not just in that bar, but anywhere in Montreal, and probably the entire country,” the politician said.
Prime Minister Trudeau said the situation is “an example of Canadians standing up for each other and the soft power of being there for each other in times of stress and anxiety.”
Earlier this month, Perry shared photos and videos from the holidays, including two photos from a beach vacation with Trudeau. One photo showed him smiling while swimming in the ocean, and another photo showed the “Wide Awake” singer kissing him on the cheek.
