Hilary Duff returned to the stage and gave the performance of a Lizzie McGuire fan’s dream.
Duff, 38, took to the stage at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Monday, January 19, for her first concert since 2015. During the highly anticipated show, she performed her 2003 hit song “What Dreams Are Made Of” live for the first time, Rolling Stone reported. The song first appeared in the Lizzie McGuire movie.
This performance will take place in advance of the February 2nd release of Duff’s album “Luck”… or something. The first single “Mature” was released on November 6th and the second single “Roommates” was released on January 16th.
The singer and actress released her hot new song “Roommates” with a rain-soaked music video. This is reminiscent of the video for her 2003 hit “Come Clean,” where she sits by a window and watches the storm outside.

“Roommates” features lyrics about longing for the exciting, intimate part of a romantic relationship, which has since become a bit more mundane.
“All I want is a beginning, I don’t want an end/I want the part where you say ‘fuck’/I’ll give you head behind the dive bar/And sneak home late and wake up my roommate,” she sings in the chorus.
Reminiscing about a time when she and her partner weren’t “virtually roommates,” she sings later in the song, “I’m touching myself while watching porn/Because you don’t look at me anymore.”
In a statement about the single, Duff explained, “‘Roommates’ is about when life is full of life, baby.”

The performer, who is married to husband Matthew Koma, continued: “It’s that ache of wilder, freer times before you get swallowed up by carpools and budget negotiations and grocery shopping and lost in anxieties old and new. A restless hum of wanting to get back to your own rhythm, your own person, yourself.”
Support Luck…or rather, Duff’s Small Rooms Big Nerves Tour continues in Toronto on January 24th before heading to the US for more shows, including a residency in Las Vegas.
