Who is Seattle Seahawks star Cooper Kupp’s wife? All about Anna Kupp

Cooper Kupp fell in love at first sight with his wife, Anna Marie Kupp (nee Crossley).

The Seattle Seahawks wide receiver and Anna married in 2015 and have since had three children. In a June 2022 conversation with PEOPLE, the former Super Bowl MVP said his wife is the “absolute warrior” of the family.

“I go to work very early in the season, and then my wife takes the brunt of the morning,” Cooper tells PEOPLE. “Every morning she brings the boys in. I’m not just sleeping, I’m at work, but she still has to take on things like that.”

He continued: “What she has allowed me to do to pursue the best version of myself as a football player could not have been possible without her.”

While Anna supports them in their hometown, she is also a regular at NFL games, often sharing photos of them posing together on the field. After the Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams (his former team!) to qualify for the playoffs in December 2025, Anna wrote on Instagram that she would “never stop being proud” of Cooper as a person.

The NFL star commented, “I love you Anna Marie. Thank you for being my rock 😘.”

She is a former college athlete

Cooper isn’t the only one in his family with an athletic talent. According to her college career, Anna participated in basketball, volleyball, track and field, and cross country in high school, and was a heptathlete in college at both the University of Arkansas and Eastern Washington University.

Anna joined Cooper in the weight room during her college days and was known for challenging her workouts.

“I would go do CrossFit workouts with her and she would just do laps around me in these workouts,” Cooper told ESPN in February 2022. “I mean, it’s incredible.”

In 2022, Anna participated in a women’s basketball league with her NFL buddy’s wife, Kelly Stafford, and Cooper helped run the scoreboard. But both Stafford and Anna say his skills in that area need a little more work.

“They failed so many times, it was comical,” Stafford said of Cooper and her husband, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, on a later episode of the podcast “The Morning After with Kelly Stafford.”

“Yes, we informed them,” Anna added.

Cooper and Anna began dating in 2012 when they were high school seniors (Cooper attended Davis High School in Yakima, Washington, and Anna attended nearby Richland High School). The two met at a high school track meet. At that time, Anna presented Cooper with a competition medal. According to Cooper, it was love at first sight.

“When we first met in high school, I knew she was the person I wanted to marry,” Cooper told ESPN in February 2022. “I told my mom the day we met, ‘I’m going to marry this girl.'” ”

However, their relationship became long-distance as the two went to separate colleges approximately 1,800 miles apart, with Cooper attending Eastern Washington University to play football and Anna attending the University of Arkansas.

In January 2014, Anna wrote on Instagram: “This was the hardest breakup I’ve ever had in my life. See you again in 5 months.”

However, by late 2014, Cooper and Anna decided they could no longer live apart. The two got engaged in March 2014, and by the fall of that year, Anna had transferred to Eastern Washington University.

Anna worked full time and she and Cooper attended Eastern Washington University together so that Cooper could focus on football and school. She got a job at a local restaurant, working as a cashier and server.

“They supported us financially during college,” Anna told ESPN. “I was working full time so he didn’t have to worry about that and could focus.”

Cooper believes that Anna’s sacrifice and hard work helped him reach the professional level.

“There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I would not be where I am today without her and without her and accomplishing what I set out to do,” Cooper added. “I truly believe I might not be here. If it wasn’t for her and the things she inspired me and pushed me to do, I might not be in the NFL.”

They have been married since 2015

The two married on June 20, 2015, at the end of their sophomore year. The wedding took place at Oakshire Estate & Airfield in Yakima and was attended by over 400 guests.

Football played a big role in the young couple’s wedding. After Cooper and Anna exchanged vows, Cooper handed him an Eastern Washington football helmet, which he wore as he walked his new wife down the aisle. And instead of a traditional garter toss, Cooper placed a garter around a football and threw it to a group of men waiting all over the reception table.

“A lot of people ask, ‘Why did you guys get married so young? Didn’t you feel like you were missing out?'” Anna told ESPN. “And you’re saying to them, ‘No, we actually think the opposite. We feel so lucky to have found someone to love and care for so early.'”

Anna and Cooper welcomed their first son, Cooper Jameson Kupp (who calls Junior “June”), on July 3, 2018.

June became an older brother when the couple’s second son, Cypress Stella Kupp, was born on January 17, 2021. Anna and Cooper shared the news on their respective Instagram accounts, posting a photo of June with her hand on their newborn baby’s chest.

“We are more fulfilled than we could ever imagine. God is good,” they each posted on Instagram, along with a Bible verse explaining the origin of Cypress’s name.

In June 2023, Anna gave birth to Cooper and Cooper’s third son, Solas Rain Kup.

“We are so grateful for the blessing of this third little soul born into the arms of its mother and raised by the man of God!” the couple wrote on Instagram alongside a black and white photo of the newborn.

Anna has been a mainstay on the sidelines since Cooper’s college football days, cheering him on at games, watching movies with him off the field and even leaving game-day cookies in Cooper and his teammates’ lockers. When the Rams won the Super Bowl in 2022, Anna and her sons were on the field as confetti fell.

“Tears flowing, heart racing, a kind of happiness. Champion of the world!” Anna wrote on Instagram after her win.

But it’s not just on the field that Anna is proud of her championship-winning husband. She also marvels at her husband’s ability to juggle fatherhood and soccer.

“I told Cooper I would always be proud of you,” Anna told ESPN in an interview with ESPN. “I’m proud of you for waking up at 2 a.m. to go rock your kids, I’m proud of you for waking up at 4 a.m. to go to the movies, I’m proud of you for breaking NFL records.”

He credits his success in soccer to her.

The former Super Bowl MVP has always credited his wife Anna for his success in both life and football. Cooper said she provided tangible support and emotional strength by making sure he was fed and nourished, helping him recover from injuries and caring for his two young sons.

“It’s hard to put into words,” Cooper told ESPN. “I don’t think I can sit here and just say what comes to my mind and get her the justice she deserves for all of this.”

Austin Wagner, Cooper’s best friend since high school, elaborated, “Anna is his rock.”

“I don’t think Cooper would exist without what Anna has done for us,” he continued. “She expects a lot from those around her and has a high threshold for excellence… which makes Cooper work harder.”
