Nickelodeon star Kiana Underwood has died in a hit-and-run accident. She was 33 years old.
The deputy public information officer confirmed to Page Six on Friday that officers responded to a call in Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood and found Underwood with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed the driver of the vehicle “did not remain at the scene” and no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
Underwood began acting at just seven years old and landed her breakout role in 2005 when she joined the cast of Season 10 of Nickelodeon’s “All That.”
She also participated in the first national tour of Hairspray as Little Ines for one year and voiced Fuchsia on the Nick Jr. show Little Bill.
Underwood was hired on the tenth and final season of All That, replacing Jamie Lynn Spears, who left the show to start Zoey 101.
While appearing on the Nickelodeon series, she co-starred with stars such as Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.
Her last credited role was in “All That.” When the show was canceled, she returned to her hometown of New York City and seemingly quit acting.
Several “All That” alumni have since spoken out about allegations of abuse that occurred on the show’s set. Mr. Underwood has never done so publicly.
Underwood has lived a private life away from the spotlight for the past two decades, but appeared to be struggling in social media videos that resurfaced in 2023.
In the clip, several people chatted with her and seemed to recognize her from her Nickelodeon days before confirming that she was on “All That.”
When asked her name, Underwood said, “Kiana Underwood from Nickelodeon’s ‘All That,'” and repeated it.
It is unknown where she lived or worked.
