One piece of wisdom after another.
Rising star Chase Infinity, who plays Leonardo DiCaprio’s daughter in the critically acclaimed film One Battle After Another, says the Oscar winner was a wise presence on the set of the Paul Thomas Anderson film.
Infinity could not point to specific pieces of advice given, but rather explained that it was “a great many things.”
“I think one of the best pieces of advice I got, honestly, was watching him on set and observing his calm leadership and radical kindness,” she told Page Six exclusively at the National Board of Review Awards on Tuesday night in Manhattan.
“I think it’s whether or not it was spoken to me directly,” she added. “I think that’s something that I will cherish and carry with me for the rest of my life.”
Infinity, 25, plays DiCaprio’s daughter in the dark comedy thriller, which also stars Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor, Benicio del Toro and Regina Hall.
The actress was at the star-studded gala ceremony to receive the Breakthrough Performance Award for her screen debut.
The physically demanding role left her with “a lot of bruises and cuts, but it was 1000 percent rewarding,” Infinity told Page Six. “I don’t regret any part of the process of shooting this movie, because it’s shot on film and it’s also a Paul Thomas Anderson movie, so I wanted to make sure I gave 120 percent to everything.”
“I’m not going to take this opportunity lightly and I’m going to try not to waste it.”
The “presumed innocent” alumnus, whose life has definitely changed over the past few months, stressed that he is not worried about any “friends” who may show up now.
“I think I’m a very intuitive person,” she explained. “And I try to surround myself with people that I think are aligned with me mentally and spiritually… So I think I’m surrounding myself with a group of people that I trust and that have the same values and the same ideas as me.”
Other bold names at the event included Infinity co-stars DiCaprio and del Toro, as well as Rose Byrne, Paul Rudd, Emily Blunt and Amy Ryan.
