Brooklyn Beckham is stuck between a rock and a hard place as he tries to appease his wife and resolve his unusual estrangement from his family, sources tell Page Six.
The eldest son of British celebrity couple David and Victoria Beckham has been living full-time in the US with his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, 31, since their marriage in 2022.
Since then, he has grown closer to her family, while his relationship with himself has deteriorated, and last summer he asked his parents to contact him only through his lawyer, according to reports.
The 26-year-old couple says they haven’t even spoken to the Beckhams in over a year, due to a feud that began before their lavish wedding in May 2022.
And when Brooklyn “blocked” his parents on Instagram during the holidays, he appeared to be sending a message that he wanted to cut off his last remaining relationship with them, as did his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.
A source familiar with the separation revealed that Brooklyn’s main claim to fame is to launch his own hot sauce business, but he is following in his wife’s lead.
In fact, Nicola, daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz and his wife Claudia, has deleted all posts featuring the Beckhams.
The disrespect comes despite repeated attempts by footballer David, 50, and Spice Girls singer and fashion designer Victoria, 51, to contact them. The pair personally invited Brooklyn and Nicola to David’s knighthood celebrations in the UK in November.
Sources say the Beckhams also invited young couples to join them for the recent holiday season, but were turned down.
A source familiar with the rift said: “People are confused by the developments over the last month. Things seemed to have calmed down, but the decision to unfollow and block[the Beckhams]appears to be causing problems again.”
Pointing at Nicola, the source added: “What is Nicola trying to prove?”
Victoria and Nicola’s spat began before the wedding when Victoria backed out of making her daughter-in-law’s wedding dress, but insiders now feel it has dragged on longer than necessary.
“They (the Brooklyns and Pelzes) felt that Victoria was in the wrong, but this is short-sighted and short-sighted and a way to prolong a story that needed to go away.”
Brooklyn, who has multiple tattoos in honor of his wife, is caught in the middle, but his public behavior increasingly appears to be siding with his in-laws.
He even blocked his brother Cruz, 20, on Instagram one day last year, saying his parents “woke up and they blocked me…and so did I.”
Another source who knows the couple said: “Brooklyn wants to do whatever it takes to make Nicola happy, but everything is spiraling out of control. I can’t imagine a world where Brooklyn doesn’t want to be reunited with her parents.”
Brooklyn became very close to his wife’s father, billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, who provided him with business advice and support. He also helped his daughter and son-in-law buy a mansion in Beverly Hills for $16 million.
The purchase was made through an LLC connected to the Pelzes and was largely made with cash from Nicola’s trust fund, the people said.
Regarding David and Victoria, a source said: “All they want is to repair their relationship with their son and his wife. They still hope and believe they can be together.”
But that seems increasingly distant after his family asked for a lawyer to contact him. According to the Daily Mail, he made the request after being angered by a press conference about Nicolas that suggested he was “controlled” by her and that he was a “hostage”.
“David was asked to speak to them through[law firm]Schillings,” a source told the publication. “It was the only way for them to communicate.”
Despite everything, another source claimed that Brooklyn made the decision to block his parents due to his “mental health,” adding, “This decision was made by Brooklyn after his constant attempts to set boundaries were ignored and Nicola will always support his decision.”
“If Brooklyn ever wants to see his family again, Nicola will support him.”
Although Brooklyn did not participate in David’s 2025 Instagram roundup, which included his other children Cruz, Romeo, 23, and Harper, 14, she posted a photo of David and Brooklyn on her Instagram Story on the same day.
It is said that the relationship between the Pelzes and the Beckhams was frosty even before the Pelzes got married, as they are completely different types of people. Both David and Victoria are international media sensations, and David is one of the greatest soccer stars of their time. Meanwhile, Nelson, 83, is one of the most prominent financial figures of his generation, and his second wife, Claudia Hefner, is an accomplished fashion model.
As Page Six previously reported, things have never changed since Brooklyn and Nicola tied the knot at the Peltz family in Palm Beach, Florida.
After Victoria stepped back from making the dress, Nicola, Claudia and stylist Lesley Fremar traveled to Rome three times to work with former Valentino head designer Pierpaolo Piccioli and fly in seamstresses from Italy to finish the dress.
Things then got even worse when singer Marc Anthony, a longtime friend of the Beckham family, performed a song at the reception. But instead of his bride, he called Victoria, whom he called “the most beautiful woman in the room,” on stage to dance with his son. Nicola ran away in tears and had to be persuaded to return to the wedding, which was featured in Vogue.
“Her face was swollen from crying and her friends were telling her, ‘You have to stand down, so many people were rallying around you,'” a Peltz source said. “She finally came down, but she was sad all night… She (Victoria) took that moment away from Nicola. That’s the God’s honest truth.”
However, guests at the reception told Page Six that they were “embarrassed” by claims that Victoria “ruined” her son’s special wedding dance with his bride.

Brooklyn has been famous throughout his life. Friends who knew him described him as “very sensitive” as he struggled at school in England. He dropped out of a photography course at New York City’s prestigious Parsons School of Design in 2018 after completing just one year of the four-year program.
Friends said he was “homesick,” but he didn’t have to stay in a standard dormitory during his stay. Instead, his parents rented him a fancy apartment, and a family friend, Bobby Rich, moved in with him.
Victoria, who dotes on her eldest son, has made no secret of her excitement for him to return to her hometown of London.
He then interned with famous photographer Rankin before refocusing his career on becoming a chef. He currently owns his own hot sauce, Cloud23, which his father invested in. The Beckhams attended Cloud23’s launch event at Whole Foods in London in October 2024, along with their son.
Before meeting actress and director Nicola, he dated actress Chloë Grace Moretz. There is no doubt that he is still completely obsessed with her. Lately, he has frequently posted on Instagram praising her, calling her “my everything.”
Over the past year, Brooklyn missed her father’s 50th birthday and his knighthood at Windsor Castle. The family celebrated the achievement in London at close friend chef Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant, and then partied in a pub in the Cotswolds with friends, including director Guy Ritchie.
Last month, Ramsay also attended the wedding of Ramsay’s daughter Holly, a childhood friend, to Olympic gold swimmer Adam Peaty, but was reportedly absent because her parents were guests.
David Beckham, owner of the Miami Major League Soccer team Inter Miami CF, will spend much of the summer in the United States for the World Cup, which officials say is a great opportunity for father and son to reunite and bond.
“We know Brooklyn is very sweet, but he’s an adult and ultimately responsible for his own decisions. He can work this out if he wants,” the source added.
