Shane Gillis and John McKeever will continue to do business with Netflix. Variety has exclusively learned that the “Tires” duo have signed a new overall deal with the streaming giant.

News of the deal comes as Season 3 of “Tire” begins in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The comedy series was renewed for a third season in July 2025.

Gillis and McKeever said in a joint statement: “Working with Netflix has been great, and it’s great to be filming Season 3 of Tires so soon.” “Netflix is just supporting us creatively. There are some projects we’re looking forward to making under the Dad Sick banner, but thankfully it’s too late for them to back out.”

Under the deal, Gillis and McKeever will develop films, series, and unscripted projects, and the deal also includes two new stand-up specials for Gillis.

Gillis also appears in Tire, along with Steve Garven, Stavros Halkias, Kira Fox and Chris O’Connor. Thomas Haden Church will return as a series regular in season 3 after guest starring in season 2.

“Shane Gillis’ unapologetic comedy and knack for finding humor in everyday life is what sets him apart,” said Tracy Pacosta, vice president of comedy series at Netflix. “On ‘Tire,’ he and John McKeever translated that same raw, unfiltered energy into a show that is relatable to many. We are excited for their continued partnership, which means we will further bring their irreverent comedy to audiences around the world.”

The official logline for Tire reads: “Will (Garben), a nervous and inept heir to an auto repair chain, tries to rebuild his father’s business despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee Shane (Gillis).

Gillis and McKeever co-created the series with Garven. All three will serve as executive producers, with McKeever also directing. Rough House’s Brandon James also executive produces with Brian Stern and Kenneth Slotnick at AGI Entertainment Media & Management and Becky Astofan.
