Since Hallmark Channel’s “When Calls the Heart,” inspired by Janet Oake’s best-selling book series “Canadian West,” first aired in 2014, multiple romances have blossomed on set. Erin Krakow, who stars as Elizabeth Thornton, is married to her co-star Ben Rosenbaum, who plays Mike Hickman. Meanwhile, stars Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace also got married after meeting on the series.
Looking back on the romance that unfolded on the set of When Calls the Heart, Krakow told PEOPLE in April 2024 that “Hope Valley has always had a little bit of magic,” and that “there’s something special about the show and the people involved.”
“When you bring special people together in one place, there’s always a connection,” she continued.

Erin Krakow and Ben Rosenbaum

Although Elizabeth and Mike are not a couple on screen, the actors who play them are a couple in real life. Rumors of a romance between Krakow and Rosenbaum began in January 2023 when the actress revealed on Instagram that she and her co-star had adopted a dog named Willoughby.
However, the couple did not officially acknowledge their relationship until February 2024. The day after Valentine’s Day, Krakow shared snaps of the two on Instagram, including one of himself kissing Rosenbaum on the cheek.
On the same day, Rosenbaum made their relationship official on Instagram by sharing a screenshot of her phone’s lock screen with a photo of Krakow and her dog, Willoughby. Along with the image, she wrote, “The first thing I see when I wake up in the morning. The last thing I see before I go to sleep. Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️❤️.”
The two surprised their fans by announcing their marriage on Instagram in June 2025.
Krakow captioned the wedding photo, “♾️.”
The bride wore a short-sleeved satin dress and veil with lace trim for her big day, while the groom wore a brown double-breasted suit with a white collared shirt.
In November 2025, the couple revealed that they were pregnant with their first child. The two announced the news in a joint Instagram post, sharing a black and white photo booth photo of them undergoing an ultrasound.
“So much to be thankful for!!! 🥰,” Krakow wrote in the caption.

McGarry and Wallace also fell in love while working on When Calls the Heart.
The two have appeared on the Hallmark Channel show since Season 6, which was filmed in the summer of 2018. McGarry played Nathan Grant and Wallace played Fiona Miller for five seasons before leaving the show before season 11. However, their relationship actually began after they performed together on music.
“We hang out all the time. We play music together,” McGarry told Entertainment Tonight in March 2024. “That’s how it all really started. We, you know… collaborated.”
The two announced their relationship in November 2020. McGarry posted a Polaroid photo of herself and Wallace with two cups of coffee in the background and captioned it “proof” on Instagram.
Two years later, in December 2022, Wallace announced their engagement by releasing a video of him kissing McGarry while wearing a diamond ring. The joint post was captioned, “Forever ❤️.”
At the annual Hearties Family Reunion fan event on September 14, 2024, McGarry confirmed that she had married Wallace. Five days after the event, Wallace posted a romantic photo from the wedding and wrote, “Exactly McGarryd.”
In November 2025, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child.
“Can’t wait to meet you, baby ♥️,” Wallace captioned a joint Instagram post of McCary cradling her pregnant belly in front of a Christmas tree. “Premiered in 2026”.
Jack Wagner and Michelle Wolf

Jack Wagner, who plays Bill Avery in “When Calls the Heart,” married singer Michelle Wolf in May 2025, and they have been dating since January 2021.
The couple had a “pretty small and intimate” wedding. In addition to the DJ, “about 40” of their close friends and family attended the ceremony, Wagner said.
“[It was]just us, with the group we chose,” he tells PEOPLE. “It was so cool that it was the kind of big fun extravaganza that rarely happens in a life where everyone has so much freedom.”
A month after the wedding, Wagner revealed that she and Wolf continued to live in separate homes. “She has her place. I still have my place. We’re both very comfortable in our places, going back and forth. So we decided to rock the boat, sell this, sell that, and try to find something,” he told Parade.
“So we’re living the same life we had when we were dating,” the actor continued. “We take a few nights off and swap who goes where, because I think the older we get, the more we know it’s nice to have a little space. Not too much, but that’s okay! It works.”
Wagner was married to his General Hospital co-star Christina Wagner from 1993 to 2006.
Chris McNally and Julie Gonzolo

Chris McNally has a child with another Hallmark star, Julie Gonzalo. The two met after co-starring in the channel’s 2018 movie “The Sweetest Heart.”
“It was so easy to be with him because he’s so great, such a great person, such a great actor,” Gonzalo told FanSided ahead of the film’s premiere, according to Soaps.com.
Gonzalo and McNally welcomed their first child together in 2022. The actress shared the news in June with a photo of her baby holding one of her fingers. “Our hearts are full…” she wrote in the caption. “Welcome baby M♥️”
In a May 2024 post, Gonzalo called McNally “the most amazing father and partner a girl could ask for.”

Pascal Hutton, who played Rosemary Coulter in The Call of the Heart, is married to former actor Danny Dorosh. The actress met her husband when she was 19 years old.
“He just looked at me and said, ‘I want you to know that you’re the woman I’m going to marry,'” Hutton recalled in a May 2018 interview with Hallmark.
According to Anniversary X’s post, the couple had an intimate wedding on June 10, 2003. “We had a very small wedding in a lakeside cabin. My husband and I wanted it to be intimate and simple,” she told MediaVillage in June 2018.
Hutton and Dorosh have two sons. The Hallmark actress described her husband as “the most amazing man in the world” and told My Devotional Thoughts in April 2017, “My sons love him to death.”
She added, “They think he’s the greatest person to ever walk the earth.”

In When Calls the Heart, Leland Coulter, played by Kavan Smith, is married to Rosemary Coulter. But off-screen, the actor is married to casting director Colin Clark, reports Soaps.com.
The actor realized “almost immediately” that his wife was perfect for him. “I’ve known her professionally for a while,” he revealed to Hallmark in May 2018.
“She’s not an actress. I would never do that to myself. One drama queen in a relationship is enough, and that’s me,” Smith continued. “But I knew her a little bit through work, and she’s the only woman in my life that I’ve actually had to say, ‘Will you go out with me?'”
Smith and his wife have two sons. The actor told My Devotional Thoughts in February 2019 that he no longer takes photos of his wife and children.
“I hope my fans don’t think that means I’m somehow left out and shunned and ungrateful,” he said.
