Kris Marshall is excited about the “next little chapter” of his life.
While announcing her second pregnancy on the red carpet at the 31st Annual Critics’ Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California on January 4, the Paradise star spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about how she, husband Ted Dolan, and their 2-year-old son are feeling about expanding their family.
“Overall, I feel really good. This is our second baby, so it’s kind of old hat and I’m getting used to it,” the 36-year-old actress said. “I feel so blessed. The baby is healthy, I’m healthy. I’m excited for this next little chapter.”

Two and a half years after giving birth to a baby boy in 2023, Marshall attended the Critics’ Choice Awards in style while cradling her unborn baby.
“The piece I’m wearing is by a German designer called Senneschcht, and I wanted to wear something that celebrated femininity in these crazy times where your body is no longer yours,” she said of the champagne dress, which featured an embellished turtleneck top and a skirt that draped at the waistline.
“It was also important to me that I did something subdural and formal. Most of all, I feel comfortable, thank God.”

The expectant mother, who attended to celebrate Paradise’s Best Drama Series nomination, completed her look with textured point-toe heels with floral appliqués and David Yuman & Elysian jewelry.
Marshall knows the gender of her soon-to-be-born baby, but has decided not to reveal that information yet. However, she did give some insight into how she feels about her 2-year-old son soon welcoming his first sibling.
“He’s so excited to be a big brother,” Marshall said.
“He’s so attached to his new baby and he’s talking to his new baby. He’s so wild and I hope it stays that way after the baby is born, but he’s just his new sibling’s greatest little advocate,” the proud mom added.
Season 2 of Paradise premieres February 23 on Hulu.
