Jennifer Lawrence often appeared in the same movie roles as her longtime friend Emma Stone, but there was one role in particular that she was particularly disappointed in not getting.
“What I wanted to get her was Easy A,” the 35-year-old actress said during a Q&A with entertainment journalist Josh Horowitz on Wednesday, January 7, at 92NY Kaufman Concert Hall in New York City.
“I was so into ‘Easy A’ that I really should have bought it, right? The movie could have been great,” she jokingly added of the box office and critical hit.
The Hunger Games alum also discussed how Stone was recently nominated for a SAG Award for her role in the movie Bugonia, while her performance in Die My Love was noticeably missed out on nominations.
“I was in a (friend’s) group chat and she was nominated for SAG today and I wasn’t,” Lawrence said.

“And I wrote, ‘What?’ and all my friends were like, ‘Congratulations, Emma!’ And I just look sad. And every time she tried to talk today, I was like, “Why are you talking when you’re not apologizing?” If you can talk about it, why don’t you feel so sorry? ” Lawrence teased.

During the in-depth discussion, Star further reflected on her early days auditioning. Lawrence explained that she had no formal acting training, which led to a unique and even embarrassing audition experience.
“I hadn’t taken any[acting]classes or lessons or anything, so when I started auditioning, you know, no real feedback, just learning myself and teaching myself,” she recalled.
“So, I remember my first audition. I was doing this (covering part of her face with my hand) and I thought this was great because it’s so real. And they were like, ‘Cut, cut, what are you doing?’ “Lawrence continued. “And I said, ‘The scene is outside’…and they said, ‘Keep your hands away from your face!'” So, something like that. ”
“I wasn’t very good at auditions,” the Oscar winner added. “But sometimes I get a call.”
