The makers of Indian filmmaker Bijoy Nambiar’s survival thriller ‘Tu Yaa Mein’ have released the film’s teaser, giving audiences their first glimpse of the last-minute drama starring Adarsh Gurav and Shanaya Kapoor, which is scheduled to release on Friday, February 13, adjacent to Valentine’s Day.
The teaser takes viewers into the world of two content creators with contrasting backgrounds. They come together to collaborate, driven by curiosity, social media influence, and mutual fascination. What begins as a high-octane adventure spirals into a deadly showdown with terrifying crocodiles, turning your content creation mission into a desperate fight for survival.
The film marks a departure from traditional Bollywood Valentine’s Day fare by blending romance with uplifting danger.
Director Nambiar directs from a script by Abhishek Bandekar that speaks to contemporary youth culture, fusing the world of digital content creation with the fundamental stakes of survival. The film was produced by Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma along with Vinod Bhanushali and Kamlesh Bhanushali of Bhanushali Studios Limited under the Color Yellow banner.
Gourav broke out internationally with his BAFTA-nominated performance in Netflix’s The White Tiger, which also earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination. The actor has since appeared in ‘Guns & Guraabs’, ‘Ko Gaye Hum Kahan’, Toronto Selection’s ‘Superboys of Margaon’ and Apple TV’s ‘Extraporations’. He most recently starred in the FX series Alien: Earth, where he played the character Slightly in the prequel to Ridley Scott’s iconic sci-fi series. He made his acting debut in Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan when he was a teenager.
This will be Kapoor’s second big screen appearance after her debut in 2025’s Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.
Director Nambiar, who earned critical acclaim for the stylized thrillers ‘Shaitan’ and ‘David’, most recently directed the bilingual action drama ‘Dange’ in Hindi and ‘Pol’ in Tamil in 2024.
