Actors Jane Lynch (“Glee”) and Eric Stonestreet (“Modern Family”) are set to appear when NBC’s “Happy’s Place” returns for its second season on Jan. 16. The two have signed a deal to guest star in future episodes.

Lynch plays Valerie, the mother of Gabby, played by Melissa Peterman, who visits her daughter for the first time and reveals an unexpected secret. Before giving her memorable performance as Saz Pataki in Only Murders in the Building, Lynch starred in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and hosted the game show The Weakest Link. Her other credits include “Glee,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Ralph Breaks The Internet,” “Portlandia,” “The 40-year-old Virgin,” “Two and a Half Men” and several Broadway plays. Her work has won five Emmy Awards, two SAG Awards, and one Golden Globe Award.

Meanwhile, Stonestreet will play Dr. Russell Peabody III, an unconventional therapist who tries to resolve the conflict between Bobby (Reba McEntire) and Isabella (Belissa Escobedo). Stonestreet played Cameron Tucker on Modern Family for 11 years, earning him multiple Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations for his role. He recently starred in the Disney+ series “The Santa Clauses” and currently plays Al Walker in Paramount+’s “Dexter Resurrection.”

“Happy’s Place” premiered season 1 on NBC in October 2024, with season 2 beginning in November 2025. The story is about a woman who takes over her father’s bar in Tennessee, only to discover that her business partner is her estranged half-sister. McIntyre and Escobedo will star as sisters alongside Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokara Black Elk and Rex Lynn. This series was created by Julie Abbott and Kevin Abbott. Kevin Abbott will also serve as executive producer along with McIntyre, Michael Hannell, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry, and Pamela Fryman.

Universal Television Group produces “Happy’s Place” for NBC.
