Oh Jonathan Bailey, we missed you!
After being named PEOPLE magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, we’re not surprised that the 37-year-old British stud is still in your heart. Luckily for you (and us), he turned in another heroic performance at this year’s Governors Awards in Los Angeles.
On Sunday, November 16, the Wicked star hit the star-studded red carpet in a sophisticated all-black look with pops of “Glinda” pink. He wore a black suit jacket and slim-fit black pants, paired with a pale pink shirt.
This year’s Governors Awards, sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and its Board of Directors, will award Honorary Academy Awards to Debbie Allen, Tom Cruise and Wynne Thomas. Dolly Parton will also receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

With the long-awaited Wicked: For Good set to be released on November 21, Bailey, who plays Prince Fiyero, appeared with the cast at the London premiere, wearing a slouchy gray suit and a collared coat in honor of the British holiday Memorial Day. On November 4, he attended an event in Brazil with co-star Cynthia Erivo and director Jon M. Chu.
While promoting Wicked, the first release of a two-part film adaptation of the musical, Bailey enlisted the help of stylist Emma Jade Morrison, quickly cementing his status as Hollywood’s best-dressed man. Morrison dressed the actor in everything from custom Ralph Lauren to custom Dolce & Gabbana to the viral Juriba Heritage pant shorts.
In an SMA interview with PEOPLE, Bailey reflected on her career before embarking on her film tour. “Sometimes you get to a point where you look back and think, ‘Wow,’ but you never think for a second that’s where you’re going,” he said. “It’s about helping you achieve what you dreamed of.”

But on set (on a south London beach), people got to know more about Bailey, who rose to fame for her roles in Bridgerton and Jurassic World: Rebirth, as well as her Emmy-nominated role as a member of the secret council staff in the Showtime series Fellow Travelers, beyond the screen.
His perfect date night? “It totally depends. I love walks. I love dinner, theater, movies. It depends on what date it is. You know, if it’s like 100 days, it’s like Lego…” he shared.
What is his typical day off? “I wake up, go for a walk, have some coffee. I go see friends or listen to a lot of music. I always have my headphones nearby. Then I watch a movie or maybe go to the theater.”
But Bayley also opened up about her path to confidence. “At different moments in our lives, we’ve thought, ‘I’ve got this,’ but sometimes we run into deep fear and self-doubt. When we were really young, we might have been very confident in who we were, but as we grew up, we lost that. Aren’t we all trying to go back to where we started?”
