Erewhon’s $20 Hailey Bieber Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie was an instant hit when it launched in 2022, drawing crowds to the upscale grocer.
Due to its popularity, Bieber’s name remained on the menu until recently, when it mysteriously disappeared.
“I can’t say it’s Hailey Bieber because her contract has ended,” an Erewhon smoothie cashier told Page Six.
But customers are still ordering “Haley” in bulk.
Employees at the Beverly Hills Erewhon said they make at least 600 smoothies a day, more than any other smoothie on the menu.
An Erewhon smoothie employee said Haley, 28, did not come up with the recipes herself, and although the partnership with her is said to have ended, her star status continues to drive sales soar.
“All the customers don’t know. They still say it’s Hailey Bieber. She’s not getting anything, but that’s good for us,” the employee said.
“People still call it Hailey Bieber. It rolls on the tongue better than saying Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie,” another employee added.
“The ingredients are the same, and the sweetness is the same. It still has the spirit of Hailey!” said an employee of the pink and white drink, which is made with organic strawberries, almond milk, banana, avocado, dates, maple syrup, collagen peptides, sea moss gel and coconut cream.
“This is the best. So far, it’s the most popular,” the worker said. “You’ll love it!”
Representatives for Mr. Bieber and Mr. Erewhon did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Initially, the smoothie was planned to be a temporary menu item when it was released in 2022. Typically, such items are removed from the menu after a month.
However, thanks in part to the promotion of the model, its popularity grew, and the smoothie quickly became a regular menu item.
In May, Bieber talked about smoothies in an “In the Bag” interview with Vogue magazine, admitting that the drink helped get rid of blemishes on his skin.
“I wear it every day. I think it’s probably 90 percent of the reason my skin looks the way it does.”
