All about Dylan, Olivia and Henry

Zac Efron fans love seeing his sweet bond with brothers Dylan, Olivia, and Henry.

His younger brother Dylan was born in February 1992, after the Emmy Award-winning actor’s parents, Starla Baskett and David Efron, welcomed him in October 1987. The couple divorced in 2016, and David later remarried, taking Olivia and Henry as new wives.

Zach has always been close to his brothers and often posts pictures of them on Instagram. He also talked about living with Dylan and how their bond prepared him for 2023’s Iron Crow.

“I’m a big brother myself, and I love him to death. There’s a certain kind of relationship. It’s just a brotherly bond,” he told Entertainment Tonight about how his brotherly relationship with Dylan influenced his role.

Dylan is currently appearing on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars and will be honoring his brother on “Dedication Night.” He will dance to Zack and Zendaya’s duet song “Rewrite the Stars” from “The Greatest Showman” and dedicate his performance to Olivia.

Dylan Efron, 33 years old

Zach’s younger brother Dylan was born on February 6, 1992, and the two have been inseparable ever since. Both brothers frequently post pictures of themselves playing with each other on social media, including going boating and playing golf together.

In a 2021 interview with BroBible, Dylan said that he and Zach were “always fighting with each other” when they were kids, describing them as “very different.”

“Zac has been really protective of me since I graduated college and let me live with him when I got my first job in Los Angeles,” Dylan said. “He really became a big brother. I would say we were closer than ever then. Our relationship was more developed as we both grew up and didn’t fight as much.”

Currently, Dylan is a YouTuber and social media influencer with a focus on travel and outdoor adventure.

“From a young age, my passion has always been fitness and spending time outdoors,” Dylan told BroBible. “You don’t necessarily have to work out, but anything just exhausts you. That’s what we did for fun growing up. We didn’t have Six Flags or big concerts to go to our hometown. It was all about taking advantage of what was available to us: the ocean and the mountains.”

Before building a career in front of the camera himself, Dylan worked as a producer on films such as Down to Earth with Zac Efron, which aired for two seasons starting in 2020. He also appeared in several episodes of Down to Earth with his brother and was an associate producer on the 2020 documentary By Hand.

This wasn’t the only time Zach and Dylan filmed a project together. In 2019, they posted a YouTube video series called “Off the Grid,” showcasing their adventures skiing and spending time in the desert.

Currently, Dylan continues his career in front of the cameras after winning Season 3 of The Traitors. Ahead of the season’s release, Zach said he had a “good feeling” that Dylan would come out on top.

“He’s just the best at the game,” Zack told Entertainment Tonight in June 2024. “When I was a kid, he was like the first roll (on Yahtzee). If it were me, I’d move to Las Vegas and just play the game. I had high hopes for him because he’s so good.”

Even though his career is booming, Dylan still prioritizes his family and is open about how he is inspired by his older brother.

For Zach’s birthday in October 2023, he wrote on Instagram, “I know exactly what kind of big brother I want to be to Olivia and Henry because you were that big brother to me.”

Olivia Efron, 5 years old

Zach’s only sister, Olivia, was born on December 25, 2019 to David and his wife. Since then, this little girl has stolen Zach and Dylan’s hearts and frequently posts with her on Instagram. Zac introduced Olivia on Instagram in July 2021, calling her his “little heartbreak.”

On Valentine’s Day 2023, Zach celebrated the day with someone special: his sister. “My Valentine,” he wrote under an Instagram photo of him reading a book to his girlfriend.

A year later, Zac celebrated the first day of spring with Dylan and Olivia, posting a video on Instagram of them rocking his girlfriend in the air as they enjoyed the waves on the beach.

Dylan and Zach may both be close to Olivia, but they are in friendly competition over who prefers her. In August 2023, Dylan posted a video montage on Instagram of Olivia telling him how much she loved him. The reasons included Dylan being “very strong to pick me up” and being able to hug her upside down.

“Sorry Zach, I win ❤️,” Dylan wrote in the caption.

In October 2025, Dylan dedicated a performance to her on “Dancing with the Stars,” boosting his favorite sibling’s eligibility for the competition.

“Please welcome the newest member of Team DaDy, my sister Olivia,” he wrote in an Instagram post, along with a behind-the-scenes photo during rehearsals. “She quickly became the second best dancer on the team and is by far the cutest.”

Zach’s youngest sibling, Henry, was born a little later than Olivia, but it is unknown when he was born. As the baby of the family, he is loved by his older siblings and enjoys spending time with them.

In June 2023, Zach posted a photo on Instagram of himself holding Olivia and Henry at the circus. He also posted about their outing on his Instagram Stories, indicating that David also attended the event.

Both Olivia and Henry seem to respect Zach. After Iron Crow was released in December 2023, Dylan posted a video of Olivia and Henry playing wrestling with him, apparently inspired by his brother’s character.

“Watching a pro wrestling movie…” Dylan wrote in the caption of his Instagram video.

Two months later, Dylan shared a clip on Instagram of himself taking Henry and Olivia on a hike and riding on his shoulders, spending quality time with the brothers.
