Kevin Federline believes ex-wife Britney Spears’ erratic behavior is “hurrying” her to a tragic end.
According to the New York Times, the former backup dancer writes in her upcoming memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” that “the truth is, this situation for Britney feels like she’s heading towards something irreversible.”
“It became impossible to pretend everything was okay,” added Federline, who also shares sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jaden James, 19, with the pop star.
“From where I’m sitting, the clock is ticking and it’s getting close to the 11th hour. If this continues, something bad will happen. My biggest fear is that my sons will be left behind.”
Federline, 47, went on to recall when her sons said they didn’t want to go back to their mother’s house because they were scared of her.
“Sometimes I would wake up in the middle of the night and find her standing quietly in the doorway, watching them sleep. ‘Oh, are you awake?’ She had a knife in her hand,” he claims.
“Then she turned around and ran without any explanation,” Federline added.
DJ said he had “never been against Britney in my life,” and was only trying to help her sons and have a great co-parenting relationship with Spears.
“When I seriously look back at everything that’s happened, it’s difficult because my children don’t know the woman I married, and I’ve spent 20 years trying to bridge that gap,” he confesses.
Federline, 47, and Spears, 43, married in September 2004 and welcomed sons Sean Preston and Jaden in September 2005 and September 2006, respectively.
The two divorced after three years of marriage and were embroiled in a custody battle for several years that was further complicated by her controversial conservatorship.
In 2023, Federline moved to Hawaii with his sons and new wife Victoria Prince after finding work there.
Last month, Page Six exclusively reported that Spears is refusing help from people as concerns about her mental health and living situation continue to grow.
Friends of the Grammy winner are also reportedly concerned that Spears lives in a “filthy mansion” full of dog poop.
“Her house is a mess. She doesn’t clean up after the dog, she doesn’t have anyone to clean it every day, and she doesn’t function like an adult would,” a source told the Daily Mail last month.
Meanwhile, a source told Us Weekly that the “Womanizer” songstress is focused on “healing” with her sons.
Federline’s memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” is scheduled to be released on October 21st.
