Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau were photographed having a smooth ride on the pop star’s yacht, confirming recent rumors about their relationship.
In photos taken in September, the “Roar” singer, 40, was seen wearing a stylish one-piece swimsuit on the deck of the Caravelle, while the former Canadian prime minister, 53, was seen wearing just jeans.
The couple enjoyed a passionate kiss, and at one point Trudeau cradled Perry’s butt as they hugged each other on the upper deck.
The photos were reportedly taken by an astute tourist off the coast of Santa Barbara, California.
“She parked the boat next to a public whale-watching boat and then the two started making out,” an eyewitness told the Daily Mail. “I didn’t know who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm, but I immediately knew it was Justin Trudeau.”
Rumors of a relationship first surfaced in July when the two were spotted enjoying an intimate dinner in Montreal.
Trudeau was also in the audience at Perry’s sold-out Lifetimes tour of Canada.
However, insiders say it is not yet serious.
“She and he are both busy,” the source said. Although the two had been exchanging emails “nonstop” throughout July, “a lot of things have happened, and the newness has worn off,” she said.
“But there’s nothing negative about it,” they continued. “They just don’t have constant contact anymore. Things may change, but for now it’s the way it is. It’s getting colder.”
The “Dark Horse” singer split from Orlando Bloom in June after nearly a decade together. The couple have a daughter, Daisy Dove, 5.
Before Bloom, she was briefly married to controversial comedian Russell Brand.
Prime Minister Trudeau separated from his wife of 18 years, Sophie Grégoire, in 2023. The former couple have sons Xavier, 17, and Hadrian, 11, and daughter Ella-Grace, 16.
