Prince Harry is reportedly angry at the criticism he received from Meghan Markle while in Paris last week.
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly “hurt and upset” after a video his wife shared of her stretching her legs in the back of a limousine near the Alma Bridge tunnel where Prince Harry’s mother Princess Diana died drew negative headlines.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams slammed the social media upload as “utterly embarrassing” and “beyond stupid”, calling the post “incredibly insensitive”.
The 44-year-old duchess reportedly did not know the location of the car.
Prince Harry, 41, is said to be “disappointed but not surprised” by the relentless criticism leveled at his wife.
A friend of the couple said: “Prince Harry was left hurt and upset. Princess Diana’s death was used as a stick to beat his wife with.[Meghan]didn’t even go near the tunnel,” the Daily Mail reported.
The “Suits” alum also came under fire for giggling while sitting in the front row of Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Balenciaga’s Paris headquarters.
A spokesperson for the couple did not respond to a request for comment.
Markle has been the subject of relentless criticism since her relationship with Prince Harry was first reported.
In a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the “With Love, Meghan Markle” star said the constant surveillance made her suicidal.
Last week, the couple reunited in New York where they were honored as Humanitarians of the Year at the Project Healthy Minds Gala.
Markle spoke about her children Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, in a speech that focused on the dangers of social media.
“They’re too young for social media, but I know that day will come,” she says.
“Like many parents, we’re always thinking about how to harness the benefits of technology while protecting us from its dangers,” Markle continued. “And the hopeful intentions of separation are rapidly becoming impossible.”
Prince Harry agreed that this is a “pivotal moment” to “protect children and support families in the digital age”.
