Happy Birthday, Hayley Erbert!
Derek Hough celebrated his pregnant wife’s 31st birthday with a “babymoon” trip on Saturday, Oct. 11.
“Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife @hayley.erbert. Celebrating in a special place where time slows down and everything makes sense,” the Dancing with the Stars judge, 40, wrote in the caption of his Instagram post, while sharing a video of the couple on vacation.
“This little babymoon was magical for us before our biggest adventure yet.
❤️❤️❤️,” he continued.
Hough also shared various posts on her Instagram Stories where she referred to Erbert as “my joy,” “my queen,” “my rock star,” and more.

Hough and Erbert, who is currently pregnant and expecting their first child, began their romance in 2015 when they were both cast on DWTS.
After seven years of dating, the two announced their engagement in June 2022. “This is just the beginning… the beginning of forever ♥️,” Hough wrote on Instagram at the time.

Hough and Erbert then exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony in Monterey County, California in August 2023. “We got married right in front of our mother tree, surrounded by little trees,” Erbert told PEOPLE at the time. “They drop all their seeds and plant like an army of children to protect their mother. The symbolism was beautiful. We are here, planting seeds to grow our families.”
The pair have been through some tough times since then, including when Elbert underwent an emergency craniectomy in late 2023.

When Hough celebrated his 40th birthday in May, Erbert celebrated her husband in a touching Instagram tribute, listing 20 things she loved about him.
Among the things the soon-to-be mother cited were Hough’s “adventurous spirit” and the way he “takes care” of her and their relationship, which she described as “something I’ve always dreamed of.” Erbert also praised Hough as “very thoughtful” and highlighted his “talent”, “kindness”, “weirdness”, and “obsession with gardening”.
“Happy 40th Birthday to the love of my life!” Elbert wrote in the caption of the post. “This world has been blessed with your presence for 40 years, and I’m lucky to have you in my life for one of them. 🥰”
Hough marked the occasion by sharing a mirror selfie showing off his abs and a nod to a longtime joke between him and Erbert.
“For the past five years, I’ve looked in the bathroom mirror and said to @hayley.erbert, ‘Not bad for 40!’ and she always laughed and reminded me, ‘You’re not 40 yet, you can’t say that.’ Well, today is the day I can officially say: ‘Dude, not bad for a 40-year-old,”’ he wrote.
