Nicole Kidman hinted at divorce from Keith Urban with a cryptic quote about life’s twists and turns.
In her new Vogue cover story, the Baby Girl actress was asked how she felt in her 50s, to which she replied, “How many times do you think you know where your life is going, and then you have to be told that it’s not going that way?”
Kidman’s message comes more than a week after news broke that the Australian star and Urban had separated after 19 years of marriage.
The “Eyes Wide Shut” actress, 58, filed for divorce from Urban last week. She cited “irreconcilable differences” in her filing, which also included plans to raise her two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Sources tell TMZ that the couple, who married in 2006, have been living apart “since the beginning of the summer,” and that the 57-year-old country music star has moved into his own place.
The paper also reported rumors that Urban was already dating another woman.
An “American Idol” judge recently changed the lyrics of a song about Kidman to ones about guitarist Maggie Boe.
Urban changed the words “When they want to get to you, baby, I’ll be your fighter” to “When they want to get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitarist.”
Both Kidman and Urban have remained silent about their breakup, but a source exclusively tells Page Six that the four-time Grammy winner did not support his wife as she promoted her sexually explicit film Baby Girl last year.
“Keith didn’t like the movie, and he didn’t even like Nicole promoting it,” a Hollywood source said.
Sources tell TMZ that Urban is also said to be going through a “midlife crisis,” and that divorcing the Oscar winner is “the latest in a series of confusing choices.”
Meanwhile, an “excited” Kidman returned to social media on Tuesday, sharing a photo of her attending the Chanel runway show with director Baz Luhrmann and French singer Vanessa Paradis.
In the caption, the “Perfect Couple” star thanked the fashion house for inviting her and her two youngest children, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, to the show.
