Gene Simmons was hospitalized after a car accident on Tuesday.

The legendary KISS rocker was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, Calif., just before 1 p.m. PT when his Lincoln Navigator crashed into a parked vehicle, police told a local NBC broadcast Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department also told the agency that Simmons, 76, was still conscious and spoke with officers when authorities arrived on the scene.

Page Six reached out to the department for further information, but did not immediately receive a response.

The “Rock ‘n’ Roll All Night” vocalist reportedly told law enforcement that he “passed out or passed out” before his car collided with another vehicle. He allegedly crossed lanes of traffic just before the accident.

Page Six has reached out to representatives for Simmons and his family for comment.

After the accident, the musician’s wife, Shannon Tweed, told NBC that her husband was taken to the hospital for further tests.

She said her doctor learned that the new medication Simmons was prescribed required her to increase her fluid intake. Simmons reportedly “doesn’t like” to drink a lot of water.

Tweed also told the outlet that the “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” singer has been released from the hospital and is “recuperating at home.” Simmons also sent a voicemail saying he was fine. Afterwards, he said to X, “Thank you everyone for your kind wishes. I’m totally fine. I got a little fender bend. That’s common, especially with bad drivers like us. And that’s me. All is well.”

The rock legend’s health scare comes after his former bandmate also fell ill.

KISS co-founder and guitarist Ace Frehley announced Monday that he is canceling the remaining dates of his 2025 tour, citing ongoing “medical issues.”

“Due to ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates,” Ace’s Instagram account said.

Frehley, 74, formed KISS with Simmons, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss in 1973 and remained with the award-winning band until 1982. KISS began their farewell tour in 2018, but didn’t officially take their final bow until the End of the Road World Tour in 2023.
