Taylor Swift appeared on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon tonight, where she discussed how Travis Kelce proposed to her and the work he put in her engagement ring. The singer talked about her fiancé in multiple interviews this week.
Taylor Swift went on to continue his life on the Showgirl Press Tour to stop tonight at the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. She shared more details about Travis Kelce’s surprise suggestions and an old mine-ish diamond engagement ring that she designed for her. (Kelse was playing in Jacksonville, Florida, so he couldn’t join her in Manhattan.
Fallon asked about her ring, and the singer showed it to the crowd. “He did (he put a lot of work into it), and he did,” she began. “He had it for a really long time before handing it over to me,” she said he was custom-made with “this great jeweler,” Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry.
“I’m always watching that,” she continued. “That’s never normal for me. I just oh, oh, oh, oh! But that’s more than that (the ring is impressive). He’s my favorite person I’ve ever met.
She then gave Fallon the backstory of Kelce’s surprise proposal. He transformed into a secret garden in his backyard, where he popped the question.
“Essentially, for Travis, the podcast was like a distraction to keep me out of my windows at home,” she said. “It’s not like every time he did a podcast, he had (he had) a drape of blackouts on every window in every window in every house, like he had all the windows closed. He was the best secret about this. He was the best about this. And then I’m really grateful for it. But I’m really grateful for it. But I’m really grateful for it, because we were podcasts and talking about him being like “Race of My Heart.”
Once they finished recording, Swift recalled, “He said, ‘Want to go, do you want to wander around the backyard and drink some wine?” “And I’ve always wanted to do that,” and I realized exactly why every window had curtains and why he was nervous.
Swift spoke about her partner for two years in multiple interviews this week. On the Sunday of Kelse’s birthday, she talked about the moment she fell in love with him on the morning morning of Sirius XM.
“It’s very difficult to pinpoint that, especially since we use radio, I’m suddenly shy,” she said. “But you know, it all turned out to be great. He’s one of the people who knows he’s the best as soon as you meet him. And you know that he’s no one on earth that resembles a remote.
She told Scott Mills of BBC Radio 2 that Kelce is a supporter of her music career.
“I love the people I’m with, and he loves how fulfilled I am by making art and making music because he loves what I do,” she said. “That’s Trav’s coolest thing. He’s so passionate about what he’s doing and it connects us.
She also made a brief update on her wedding plans there, telling Mills that it wasn’t her focus. “I do one thing at a time,” she said. “I’m doing this now. I don’t know (if I’m hiring a wedding planner). Now I’m excited by the idea of marrying this person, so I’m going to think about it and put out this album.
