Comedy Production House American High set up the next film on Hulu.
Titled “Never Change!”, the film is directed by Marty Schousboe (Joe Pera Talks with You, A Maine Movie) and written by John Reynolds (Search Party, Stranger Things).
It follows a class in her 30s who are brought back to high school for their final shot at graduation. According to Logline, “In 2005, the North Meadows High School graduation class shortened fourth graders due to a tragic tornado that destroyed half of the school. He is now forced to return home in his mid-30s and graduate from high school.
“Never change!” This year, production will begin at the American High Campus and surrounding areas in Syracuse, New York. The film is being produced by John Watts for first graders. Nicholas Hutton and Jason Warriner of Swindle. Jeremy Gallerick and Will Phelps for American High. Billy Rosenberg for all comedies. Jason Zarro. Molle Debartolo is an executive producer, Axelle Azoulay co-produced, and Matt Sacca is an associate producer.
American High is a comedy production hub run on high school campuses in upstate New York. Founded by Gallerick in 2017, the company has produced 22 films, including Pete Davidson’s starrer Big Time Adolescent and the birth control comedy Plan B. Coming in 2026 is America’s High’s biggest film, “Rolling Loud,” starring Owen Wilson as the overprotective father who loses his 13-year-old son at the hip-hop music festival in Miami. In 2023, American High launched a digital comedy ecosystem to create short content for social media, and use a batch of young comedic actors to pour the company through the film production pipeline.
