Martha Stewart gave Drew Barrymore a masterclass of “Thirst Traps” on Monday’s episode of the “Scream” star’s eponymous talk show.
Barrymore, 50, asked Stewart, 84, for “advice” on how to capture the ideal image of social media.
“Now, put yourself beautifully,” Stewart explained, showing how Barrymore interacts with the phone camera while sitting with her.
After instructing the “ET” star to raise the camera “high” and sit “a little like this,” Stewart praised Barrymore. “Look, you already look good!” said the domestic mogul as the camera angle switches to a POV on the phone.
“Always go down your face and stretch your neck, then a little wallet on your lips,” explained Stewart. She added, “Open your eyes” when Barrymore took the photo.
“It’s hot! Martha did it!” cried the talk show host as the audience exploded with applause.
Fans of the iconic personality filmed a comment thread to spurt light clips shared on Instagram. “Martha’s masterclass 💅🏻,” one follower wrote, but another added, “Queen❤️.”
Others noted Stewart’s undeniable expertise. “And pay attention to the subtle effects of tilting your head slightly!” he told one person. “You’re all Meows -ofMeows® ❤❤” The fourth fan gushed out, and the fifth screamed, “Martha is that girl!”
One person said, “Thirst Trap Selfies… Good.
Stewart was promoting Elm Bioscience, a skincare line with a particularly glamour selfie, at the beginning of September, but is known for her cleverly crafted thirst traps.
In a recent episode of “Jenna & Friends today,” she confessed that the steamy snapshots are doing their job.
“Who slipped into your DM with these traps?” Host Jenna Bush Hager asked Stewart. “A lot of people,” she replied playfully.
The TV personality admitted that she wasn’t “dating with someone special,” but she said her friend would “protect (her) happiness.”
