Tate McRae is a cover girl!
The pop star appeared in one of three covers in the next issue of 2025 Time100, with the outlet tapping her buddy Dakota Johnson, some of which were only shared with people.
The 35-year-old materialist actress calls 22-year-old McRae “soft and deep kind” and writes about getting to know the “greedy” singer who will perform at the 100th time event to be held in New York City on October 30th.
“I witnessed her quiet self-confidence and how truly exists she is,” Johnson wrote. “I watched her listen to the world around her and really absorb the moments that inspire her. I saw her brain work and her soul expand. She’s soft and deeply kind.”

McRae was opened to people about invading mainstream in December 2023, calling her fame “the biggest whirlwind of my life.”
“This was the biggest whirlwind of my life and honestly, it was the coolest thing I’ve ever experienced,” she said at the time. “I’m having a lot of trouble wrapping my head around.”
After years of competitive dance and third place, Canadian musicians always thought, “I’d grow up and become a backup dancer,” as I thought I could dance in 2016.
Still, she admitted to having moments of shock. “When you show up in places like SNL, like, ‘Why am I here?’, you suffer from fraudster syndrome. “This is just a big dream.”
In February, she gave insight into her creative process, saying, “The “Rule Number One” is “Don’t search for yourself on the Internet.”
“All it does is literally hinder your creativity. I think the worst place to write and make music is a place of fear and judgment,” she told people at the time.
“It’s the human nature to go out and look for bad things, see what you need to work on, see what people don’t like about you. Honestly, I was just ‘I need to get off the phone.’ ”
McRae released her latest single, “Tit for Tat” on Friday, September 26th.
She is currently touring the US on Miss-owned tours by early November at upcoming stops in Seattle, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Austin, Palm Desert and other cities.
