Bad Bunny was party hopping around Miami a few days before it was announced as the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner.
The Reggaeton superstar “surprised” a patron who was “surprised” at his restaurant Gekkou late Friday night, sources told Page Six only.
He hears, “I greeted the fans, posed for selfies, and walked around the dining room to absorb energy.”
The artist, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, looked “easy and stylish” in a fitted white tee, navy slacks and a shoulder-covered striped sweater, sources said.
After dining at the hotspot, the “I Like It” singer bumped into the facility’s Gekkou Lounge to party in the evening.
“He spent hours dancing… Even if he attended a bachelor party on the dance floor, when he laughed and celebrated with his guests, it was all smiles,” the insider said.
Bad Bunny co-owns the Japanese steakhouse with Miami hospitality gurudman.
The next night, Bad Bunny continued his celebration by eating at Casadonna with a group of friends.
“They ate inside the main dining room,” the insider said of the Italian restaurant.
On Sunday, the Latin King enjoyed a late brunch with members of his aides at the same facility.
“The crew ate outside the waterfront garden,” the insider said of the scenic outing. “To take shape, he was walking around the main dining room (watching) friendly and all the smiles.”
After his meal, some of his aides overhear the superstar was heading to the airport.
Later that day, Bud Bunny announced that he would headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 8, 2026.
He shared the news by posting a video set to his song “Kareita,” sitting on top of the beach goal post with the caption “Super Bowl LX Bay Area. February 2026. #Apple Musicalftime.”
“What I feel is beyond myself,” he said in a six-page press release. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards, and then I can go in and get a touchdown…this is for my people, my culture, and our history.”
Bad Bunny, 31, admitted that it was “so pleasant” to finally tell people that he’d secured a coveted game day gig after “long” keeping it a secret.
“I’m really excited about my friends, my family. Puerto Rico, all Latino people in the world,” he told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden in an interview Monday.
“I’m excited about my culture,” he continued. “I’m excited about everything, not just me. I know what I’m saying. It really feels good. The beach we record is my hometown beach, so it’s very special to us.”
As to what his show includes, Benito admitted he is still “thinking” what he will do for the performance.
“But that’s going to be a good thing,” he assured his fans.
