Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are officially husband and wife after tying the knot in a romantic ceremony.
Gomez revealed the news via Instagram on Saturday night. Photographer Petra Collins shared a carousel of images from her big day.
The photos and videos show the newlyweds hugging, holding hands and enjoying the moment. In some close-up shots, Gomez’s Lily of the Valley and her wedding ring bouquet was shown.
The bride and groom both rocked Ralph Lauren. Gomez wore a custom embroidered hand-covered halter neck satin dress, while swings wore a classic black tuxedo and bowtie.
In a comment thread for the singer’s announcement, Slanco wrote that he is “a real life wife.”
According to Vogue, the couple sworn at Rush Seacrest Nursery in Santa Barbara, California, but were surrounded by about 170 family and friends.
Guests included Gomez’s BFF Taylor Swift, and her “The Building’s Only Murder” co-stars Martin Short, Steve Martin and Paul Rudd. Other attendees include Paris Hilton, Ed Sheeran, Ashley Park and co-star David Henry of Gomez’s “The Wizard of Waverly Place.”
Throughout the weekend, guests stayed at the $3,500 El Encanto Hotel, where Martin and Short were photographed on Friday, prior to the couple’s rehearsal dinner. The dinner itself took place at the mansion of the private community in Hourrain in Santa Barbara County.
Guests were beckoned by a gorgeous soiree with a golden invitation and asked to join the couple “with family” for the 3pm beach ceremony
The elegant invitation featured a romantic interlock “S” and “B” monograms and a sprig of what looked like a dry baby’s breath.
After the pair’s first wedding plan was leaked on July 14th, it includes guest lists, dates and locations – security has become a top priority in planning special days, particularly ensuring the safety of couples’ A-list guests.
“Serena’s wedding security is paramount, as she is not only a public figure, but also many of her guests,” the insider told the Daily Mail later that month.
“She is going back and forth between allowing people to have their phones as a special measure of security and privacy.
From their expected fiancée to Gomez and Blanco held their own singles and single parties in August.
Gomez hosted a bachelor party in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, surrounded by her close girlfriends, including longtime peers Racquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook and Courtney Lopez.
The photo showed her becoming a bride and her best friend was soaking the sun on a yacht.
According to TMZ, Blanco hosted a bachelor party at a $25,000 villa in Las Vegas.
The record producer first teased the wedding timeline on July 10th, but said he and Gomez were both extremely busy and hadn’t even started planning yet.
“We both work on so many things so we didn’t even have time to get into it, but we’re very excited,” the music producer told Jake Shane on the “Therapuss” podcast. He also insisted that their wedding was “cold” but “surprising”.
Fans began speculating that Gomez and Blanco were dating when they attended their 31st birthday party in July 2023. They have known each other for years thanks to similar circles in the music industry.
In December 2023, the former Disney Channel star confirmed on Instagram that she had been secretly dating the songwriter for six months.
She commented that she responded to an Instagram post on a fan account that said, “It appears that Selena Gomez is confirming that she is in a relationship.”
Gomez then elaborates on the very serious love in a series of comments, writing that the swing is “absolutely everything” and “the best thing that has happened to this ever.”
Once their relationship was made public, the pair couldn’t help packing up the PDA.
In December 2023, the couple could celebrate Swift’s 34th birthday. A month later, they were all over each other while sitting courtside in a Los Angeles Lakers game.
The couple revealed that Gomez’s mom originally set them up more than a decade ago before they got engaged.
“It’s really hard to understand. I was around 16 or 17,” Gomez told an interview magazine about how old she was when she first met Blanco in February.
“And we first came out in 2013,” he said, “her mom set up a meeting between the two of us. This is when I grew up and she wasn’t a singer yet.”
The founder of Rare Beauty initially sparked engagement rumours when she posted a selfie of a mirror with a heart emoji strategically placed on her left ring finger in August 2024.
However, the pop star confirmed his engagement on December 11th, 2024 in a sweet Instagram post.
“It’s Beginning forever” and the “Emilia Perez” star captioned the carousel in a photo showing off her diamond sparkler.
Slanco also commented on her post. “Wait a second… that’s my wife.”
“Good for You” singer Best Taylor Swift also rang, adding, “Yes, I’ll be a Flower Girl.”
Slanco popped the question with a marqueez engagement ring he designed with a “special symbol” of their love.
They also bought the Beverly Hills mansion for a whopping $35 million the same month they got engaged. However, the news remained secret until February.
The couple, who released a co-album in March, shares their desire to start a family together.
In an interview with The Howard Stern Show in May 2024, Blanco revealed that she is thinking about having a child with the actress “Murder in a Building” “everyday”.
“That’s my next goal: check the box,” Slanco said of having children. “I have a lot of Godkids. I have a lot of nephews. I love being around kids.”
In September 2024, Gomez revealed that she was unable to carry her child due to her medical problems. However, she still wants to be a mom and plans to adopt or have a child via surrogate.
