Julia Roberts bakes the average banana bread, according to her “After the Hunt” co-stars Andrew Garfield and Ayo Edebili.
Page 6 caught up with the trio at the screening of their new film at the 63rd New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center on Friday night, where they asked about Roberts’ baking skills.
“I don’t know, I don’t know, that’s the first percentile,” cried Edebili, 29, and Garfield, 42, agreed, adding that he believes it’s the more top “.5th percentile.”
Roberts glowed quietly, listening to his co-stars.
Page 6 also confirmed that Roberts did not add cream cheese toppings to the banana bread.
The “Notting Hill” star cooking prowess grew up in a recent variety interview when film director Luca Guadagnino said that Roberts “is an incredible cook. She has great salmon, but she has incredible banana bread.”
The “Queer” director added that when he stayed at Roberts’ house last year, he took one of the banana breads to the airport where the lounge staff called it “so beautiful.” When they found out who baked it, they were “star trucks.”
Meanwhile, “After the Hunt” has attracted a ton of press for a timely storyline delving into the #MeToo movement.
Oscar winner 57 plays a philosophy professor at Yale. He finds her favourite student (Edebili) is in the midst of a scandal while another professor (Garfield) accusing sexual assault.
The trio recently made headlines after Edebili was removed from questions about the #MeToo and Black Lives Matter moves at the Venice Film Festival.
The troublesome exchange went viral.
