Bangkok-based horror studio Fear Forks is making its market debut at Busan’s Asian Content & Film Market (ACFM) with a slate of three horror and thriller titles scheduled for releases in 2026 and 2027.

The company’s initial lineup includes “Cheer,” a supernatural revenge horror story. “Mutelu” is a horror story centered around a fortune-sharing ritual. “Linlada” is a teenage cyber horror thriller.

“Sheer” stars Arak Amonespasiri (“Stone”, “Youths Trust”) and is directed by Songak Mongkolthong (“Mercury Man”, “The Unborn”). The film presents a contemporary horror narration of ancient Thai folk tales inspired by forest legends called Nan Mai.

“Mutelu” shows the starting point for the genre of International Emmy Award winner Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying (“Hunger”, “Bad Genius”) and director Yanyong Kuruuungkoul (“Ready Set Love”, “App War”, “Mother Gamer”). The film centers around Bua, played by the unhappy Tutimon, who discovers a mysterious amulet, allowing her to “borrow” others’ fortunes, and unleashes the malicious spirits that threaten everything she cherishes.

“Rinrada” is a revenge horror story starring real life pioneering trans actress Yoshi Rinrada Thurapan and child actor Nutthatcha Jessica Padovanis (“Death Whisperer”, “Taklee Genesis”). The story follows an influencer who is reborn for 28 days and returns to trouble a bully who commits suicide.

Fearfolks was founded by former Night Edge executives Hans Audric Estialbo and CEO of Benetone Film Group and COO Rachvin Narula and Kulthep Narula. The company aims to create a vast horror IP value chain that includes creative development, funding, production and distribution. Fearfolks’ first releases include Neon’s “Shelby Oaks,” “Good Boy,” and “The Toxic Avenger.” The company plans to open a distribution office in India by the end of the year.

“Fearfolks is a place. It’s a community of horror enthusiasts. People who embrace the darkness, love love, experience the thrills and get frightened together,” says Estialbo. “Fearfolks is the headquarters of all fear needs. At the same time, Fearfolks will serve as the voice of a new generation of horror.

Rachvin Narula added: “The independent cinema landscape is evolving, and filmmakers need partners who understand both creative integrity and market reality. Our goal is to do creative storytelling at the heart of the company, and to ensure that there is a bridge to strategic global outreach from the start, and that filmmakers’ projects are positioned for success.”

Kulthep Narula said, “Using Fearfolks, one of Asia’s kind horror banners, Benetone Film Group will create an innovative ecosystem that will drive industry growth, from production and financing to global distribution and IP management.”

Fearfolks is participating as part of ACFM’s Thai mandate.
