Michael Choi confronted Kanye West on Saturday night’s live show in 2018 to “sell out” the cast. The documentary reveals.
After the “Heartless” rapper performed at the NBC Variety Show and gave a lengthy speech on President Donald Trump’s support among other topics, Coanchors’ “Weekend Update” and Coanchors’ “Weekend Update” made a tense exchange with West Backstage on SNL.
In his rant, West, now 48, said, “You can’t be controlled by monolithic thinking.”
“Every time you have a black subject like (Bill) Cosby, I recommend you have to talk to a black comedian about him,” West told the audience.

West then claimed he was “bullyed” behind the scenes for a hat that “makes America great again” and told him “don’t go out wearing that hat.” ”
“They bullied me behind the scenes. They bullied me and they say I’m where I sunk. Do you want to see where I sunk?
The documentary then cuts to Choi, now 42, approaching the western backstage after the show, voicing his frustration.
“Are you with me? Is it true? It was f–Edup,” he told the 24th Grammy winner.
Choi wondered why West called him when he didn’t have the opportunity to say something himself.
West then denied that he was talking about him and insisted his comments on the “black comedian” that made Cosby’s jokes.
“I’m a black comedian who joked about Cosby,” Choi said. “It’s f — ed up. Why do you do that to me?”

West replied, saying to him that he “love him.”
“I love you too. I’m a fan. Why do you do that to me?” Choi asked, “Stronger” performer replied, “I wasn’t doing it to you.”
“I work here. I work here. Come on the guy. We treat everyone who comes like family and you sell us out.
West then said he has “some things in general about SNL.”
Choi thought it was “cool” but insisted that he “airs it” without giving him the opportunity to “reply.”
Towards the end of the conversation, the documentary shows a third party’s attempt to escalate the situation, and when Che asks if he can’t record the next moment, he instructs Che to “re-to-be in a second.”

When he appeared on SNL in September 2018, the “Don’t Leave” rapper gave his third musical performance and a lengthy speech about his love for President Trump, now 79.
He started by singing. “I want to cry now. Black Americans, you’re supposed to keep up what you feel now. And the Liberal Party will bully you and tell you that you can’t wear. Good…”
Putting on a Maga hat, he gave unexpected speeches as part of the crowd in front of SNL performers like Jost and host Adam Driver.
“In fact, black people have not always been Democrats,” West said at the time. “It’s like the plan they did to get their fathers out of the house and promote welfare. Does anyone know about it? That’s the democratic plan.”
The currently limited name has over 3,000 hours of personal footage, filmed by director Nico Ballesteros with West’s permission for six years, examining the rapper’s mental state and beliefs.
